On January 20, the first Jianmenguan Door God Prayer Cultural Festival opened in Jianmenguan. In order to experience this festival, the runner-up and I went to Jianmenguan with a group.

It was past eleven o'clock when we set off from Chengdu to Jianmen Pass, and the opening ceremony was coming to an end. Well, I only heard the closing words: "Xiongguan, the Shu Road, is prosperous. After the team leader took us to take a group photo at the north gate of the scenic spot, we entered the scenic spot with our tickets, took a ropeway, and then went from the bird path to the Fairy Bridge, then to the glass viewing platform, and finally walked down, passing through the large crossing Cave, Line of Sky, Stalagmite Peak, Guanlou, and finally exited the scenic spot from the south gate. It was almost five o'clock when we came out, and we walked more than 14,000 steps in the whole journey (WeChat sports data).

The queue at North Gate No. 1 Ropeway lasted for more than an hour.

Thousands of people are hiking, which is a lot of people when you think about it. As soon as we entered the scenic spot, we started waiting in a long queue. A cable car can only hold up to six people. We queued for more than an hour and the cable car arrived at the station in 10 minutes.

Bird Road is considered the selling point of Jianmen Pass. Many people come here just to climb the bird path, so if you don’t climb the bird path when you go to Jianmen Pass, it’s really like you haven’t been there. Walking through the Bird Road, you will have a deeper understanding of the "difficulty" in what Li Bai said: "The road to Shu is as difficult as climbing to the sky."

The uncle and aunt who were hesitant and finally gave up on going to the Bird Trail also came with a group (not the same group as us). Each group has a prescribed time and place for gathering. I think they were worried that time was wasted in queuing, and they didn't know how long they could wait in line. They were afraid that they wouldn't be able to make it back in time, so they gave up in the end. (In outdoor circles, punctuality is a conventional virtue)

Yes, everyone has a fear of the unknown. This fear causes people to hesitate and be anxious. In the end, they give up the original plan, which also makes them unhappy.

Different mentality, different results.

Regarding the small matter of queuing, different people have different mentality, and of course the final result will be different. If you have a good attitude, you will line up as a Buddhist, and in the end you will happily experience the history and culture of "The Difficulty of the Road to Shu"; if you have a bad attitude, the result will be the same as that pair of uncles and aunts, not having fun as they should, and still feeling unhappy. leave.

The purpose of going out to play is to relax. Why can't we be more Buddhist? It all depends on fate. When you are queuing up, aren't your teammates also queuing up?

(PS: Some parts of the bird path are very narrow. I can only pass sideways, so fat people can’t get through.)

Ape Judo is more thrilling than Bird Judo.

Behind the bird path is the monkey judo. Ape Judo is charged separately, 68 yuan/person. This is more thrilling than Bird Judo. There are no guardrails and you need to use a safety rope to move step by step. I said to the runner-up: "If there is another time, I will do ape judo."

At the highest point of Jianmen Pass, there is a glass viewing platform.

It costs 10 yuan to go up to the glass observation deck. We didn’t go up this time because it was our first time and didn’t find it very thrilling.

The big hole reminds me of the caves in Jiuxiang.

A large puncture is a particularly large hole that is not sealed. The upper part is the path for people to walk, and the lower part is hollow to form a shape like a large hole. This reminds me of Jiuxiang Cave, the naturally formed square of more than 10,000 square meters, which is also where the movies "Myth" and "Little Soldiers" were filmed. Of course, this large hole cannot be compared with Jiuxiang Cave. It is only slightly similar in shape, so the association was created.

A line of sky, stalagmite peak.

The stalagmite peak stands tall and spectacular. There is a narrow road here. The stalagmite peak on the roadside and the peak next door form a gap. Looking from a distance, the sky forms a line, so there is a "line of sky" ” is called.

But what’s interesting this time is that when I looked at Stalagmite Peak, I thought it looked like a cute little animal. I couldn’t tell what kind of animal it looked like. The pointed mouth, the trees at the top resemble its crown, and the outermost protrusion resembles the animal's buttocks. Hey, a little animal with its head raised, don't lower your head, the crown will fall off.

Guanlou: One man can guard the gate, but ten thousand men cannot open it.

Guanlou began with Zhuge Liang. There is a dangerous situation here where "the rocks surround Chu Tianhun, and the two sides of the river are facing each other like a gate." Zhuge Liang made reasonable use of the terrain here and built a stone gate on the cliff to guard the Shu Kingdom. The Guan Tower was destroyed once in 1936. The Guan Tower we see now was renovated in 1922.

This is my second time to go to Jianmenguan. I still remember that the first time I went to Jianmenguan was on May Day in 2017. I had a lot of time at that time, so I stayed in Jianmenguan for one night. I got up early in the morning and entered the scenic spot. There were not many people at the gate, so I took a photo without many people in the background (with special effects added).

Postscript, how can the outdoor community create its own differentiation?

Chengdu has a lot of outdoor areas. When the route plans are all the same, how can you differentiate yourself from many of your peers? I think these three points from Xinmaigao are worth learning.

1. A heart-warming souvenir.

As soon as we got on the bus, the tour leader gave us a souvenir: a box of fruit platter. There were two blood oranges, two green dates, some cherry tomatoes, a bun, and two peppermint candies. In fact, these are not worth much money, but just because of such a small gesture, if you do it, maybe others will remember you more.

(Although in the end, they advertised the blood oranges they sold, they wouldn’t be offended. After all, they gave you free food. You can buy some if they taste delicious.)

2. Photography services

Team leader and photographer Little Bee waited for his team members to arrive at two intersections (Bird Road, Guanlou Exit), and then clicked to take photos, taking care of almost all teammates.

3. User survey after the event

User surveys allow each group member to have the opportunity to give themselves suggestions for improvement. As a leader, they can better manage their own group leaders.
