There are a lot of elephant camps in Chiang Mai. The elephant camps here are divided into two types. One is where you can ride + watch elephant performances, and the other is an elephant conservation camp. This is the opposite of the previous one. Not only can you not To ride, you still have to play with it, bathe it, and feed it food. As five good young people, we still want to be kind to animals, so we decisively choose the second option.
We chose to go to an elephant camp on the Merlin side (north of Chiang Mai) because we stayed in the "Daoxiang Villa", which belongs to the Merlin area. It takes 40 minutes to drive there and more than an hour if there is a transfer from the ancient city.

The tiger-catching project is probably the most expensive project in Thailand. Here you will find that Thai people are still very business-minded.
There are two mode options here:
1. Flirting with little tigers (60 days), time: about 5 minutes; cost: nearly 600 yuan/person, which is really not cheap, but then I thought about having 5 little tigers, and it is easy to do this kind of thing. Don't ask for it, maybe it's just this once in your life, so you just have to endure the pain. In fact, traveling is an experience. After you have a rich experience, you will be able to face all kinds of problems when you return to real society without any worries.

2. tease the big tiger . The entrance fee to the Tiger Park is about 180 yuan per person. You can visit all the tigers in the park. For this fee, you can also take photos with a certain kind of big tiger. We chose a tiger that was as young as 8 months old. We really didn’t dare to act arrogantly when facing this tiger. We could only approach, take photos, and dodge people cautiously and orderly.
Play golf like baseball
There are many golf courses in Chiang Mai, and the prices are very affordable for Chinese people. I heard from the hostel owner that many Chinese people fly here specially to play golf. A round of 18 holes costs more than 400 yuan (excluding the cost of renting a golf bag). Compared with the thousands in China, it is really cheap.
Looking at such an environment and thinking about the smog in Beijing, my heart feels like a mixed bag. It will take time to verify whether it is worthwhile for us to bring rapid economic growth at the expense of the environment.
In addition to adult golf, children's coaching is also provided for 200 yuan/hour. This kind of luxurious sports has become affordable for ordinary people in Thailand. No wonder the happiness index of Thai people is so high.

Visit the Tiger Poop Paper Factory
Tiger poop paper factory: It sounds very interesting. I thought the factory was very big at the time and planned to spend the whole morning there. But when I arrived, I realized that it only covers an area of less than two acres. With such a small area, there is a constant stream of people going there. Absolutely. This is a good parent-child project. The price is not expensive, and it mainly allows children to gain knowledge and get inspired while playing. This is the most important thing.

This project has explanations, divided into Chinese and English, every half hour.
Step one: Let’s differentiate between various types of poop. In addition to elephant poop, which can be used to make paper, horse poop and cow dung can also be used. Elephant POOPOO is obviously much rougher. The reason is: it eats too much and the intestines are not fully digested, so the POOPOO contains a lot of weeds.
Step 2: Filter POOPOO into water three times, then boil it in a pot for about 8 hours.
Step 3: Combine the cooked POOPOO and your favorite color to make raw materials.
Step 4: Dilute the raw materials in water and spread them evenly on the panel.
Step 5: Place the panel under the sun to dry for six hours, then peel it off from the panel to reveal the complete paper.
Become a farmer
Going to a farm to be a farmer was my earliest plan when I came to Chiang Mai. Although rice is also grown in China, there seems to be no scenic spot that has made it a parent-child project for children to participate in. Or maybe there is, but I am ignorant~~
I also did farm work when I was a child, but it was really not my turn to plant rice and thresh the grains. Now the conditions for children are better than then, but it is also necessary for them to experience the principle of "every grain is hard work".
This farm has created a perfect parent-child program. It is all one-stop. First, explain it, then pick it by yourself, put the color of the picked flowers into rice and then go to work in the field to transplant rice. Then relax on the water mud slide, which takes most of the day. Just spend it happily.

Regarding accommodation in Chiang Mai, the prices are completely different, ranging from tens of thousands to dozens of yuan. It mainly depends on what kind of vegetables we "radish people" like.
The "carrot" of the editor still follows the old rules, only focusing on living and not paying much attention to eating. The two I chose this time are really satisfying to the editor.

When we first booked this room, we were very hesitant because we only needed three rooms, but the boss wanted to rent out a separate building (the villa has 5 rooms). Later, I was really tempted by the scenery in the photos, so I reluctantly booked it. I am also glad that I was cruel. When I arrived at the villa, I found that the scenery in the photo was only three or four-tenths of the actual scenery.
In addition to sweeping views of wheat fields, this room also overlooks a sparkling swimming pool with pink swans floating above it.

Several restaurants recommended by the B&B owner are very popular with the editor. The price is affordable, the environment is beautiful, and the taste doesn't seem bad. What I eat depends on the environment and my mood when I eat. The taste is adjusted according to the environment and mood.
After playing with the elephants on the first day, everyone was completely hungry. But it only cost more than 200 yuan for seven people. The green curry was so delicious that I ordered two portions, and there were also crabs. Please give me an idea of how cheap it is. (Of course, visitors to this restaurant will definitely not know this.)

There are many cities in China that take off from Chiang Mai, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Changsha, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Chongqing and Kunming. It mainly depends on when you go, whether it is more cost-effective to connect flights or direct flights.
This time we are transferring in Kunming, and the round trip to Beijing is only about 4,000 yuan. At that time, the price for a direct round-trip flight from Beijing seemed to be more than 6,000 per person.
Direct flights from Chongqing cost more than 4,000 per person.
