Earthquake Monument Introduction: It was built to commemorate a strong earthquake in Tashkent in the early morning of April 26, 1966. This earthquake almost turned the entire city into ruins and made 300,000 people homeless. The monument is a huge ashlar stone with cracks on one side and a clock face carved on the other side.
