Introduction to Ming and Qing paintings and calligraphy donated by Deng Yongqing: Deng Yongqing (1920-1998), a native of Xuzhou, served in the Eighth Route Army’s Southward Detachment, the Fourth Division of the New Fourth Army, and the Third Field Army Corps, etc. He was a proficient connoisseur and rich collector. In October 1993, Deng Yongqing donated all his collection of more than 200 paintings and calligraphy works by famous Ming and Qing painters to his hometown, and set up a special museum for permanent display.
