Introduction to Jiaofang: During the cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party in 1926, the first Chinese Communist Party organization in Ningxia, the Ningxia Special Branch of the Communist Party of China, and the office address of the Kuomintang County Party Headquarters were located in Northeast Jiaofang above the Bell and Drum Tower. On September 23, 1949, Ningxia was liberated; on September 26, Commander Yang Dezhi of the 19th Corps of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, Political Commissar Li Zhimin, and local celebrities in Ningxia jointly reviewed the entry ceremony of the Chinese People's Liberation Army into the city on the Bell and Drum Towers.
