Travel Notes | Go to Qidong European City, enjoy sea soaking hot springs and eat seafood!

In Yinyang Town in Qidong, there are two hotels that you must stay in, a Five Kingdoms Hot Spring that must be soaked in, a beach that must be played, and so many seafoods that must be tasted and sightseeing. It takes more than an hour by car or self-driving to take a tour of this European city built on the tidal flats.

Starting from Shanghai, it takes more than 2 hours to drive to the destination. When the car arrived at Hengda Road, you could see the palace and castle building in the distance. Further inside, there was a European-style fountain garden with a golden galloping horse sculpture. The castle was divided into various functional areas by pools of lake water: villa area, apartment area, Entertainment area, leisure area, dining area, hot spring area, swimming fitness area, hotel area.

The Venetian Hotel is right outside the beach, where you can make sand and play in the sea; the Castle Hotel, in addition to viewing the sea, its biggest feature is that it faces the sea directly and can watch the sunset and sunrise in a panoramic view.

At noon, we will eat seafood in a small town outside Europe City. There are many small restaurants in this town, mainly selling seafood. The restaurant we went to was called Zaihuimou. The storefront was too simple, but all the seafood in this restaurant came from Lusi. Even though it was a closed fishing season, local fishermen could still catch fish, crabs and shrimps from the sea. The restaurant business is surprisingly good, and most of the diners are Shanghainese living in European cities. There are all kinds of small seafood and shellfish. The most delicious thing is that the hairtail fish is cut into pieces and dipped directly into the hot vegetable oil. It is tender, original, light, and not greasy as expected. The price of the seafood table we ordered was one-third of that in Shanghai restaurants.

The Five Kingdoms Hot Spring consists of five pavilions: Japan, Thailand, Finland, Italy, and Turkey. Each pavilion has its own characteristics according to the customs of each country.

The Japanese pavilion is a low wooden house with black tiles and lattice windows.

Walking across the small red wooden bridge, opposite is the spire-topped Thailand Pavilion with a yellow curtained pavilion.

The Italian Pavilion is a European promenade structure with sculptures on each pillar.

The Finnish Pavilion is a polar bear walking on a white wall.

The most distinctive feature of the Türkiye Pavilion is its mushroom-shaped building.

The forms of bathing in the five pavilions are also different. There are water jet showers and waist and neck massages. I tried lying on the hot bed for only ten seconds. The smell of "hot iron" will make you jump.

The pavilions are connected by bridge corridors. There are pools along the way. The pools are steaming. You can enter the pools and soak at will. The waiters here are all like nannies, standing by your side casually and handing you white and clean bath towels.

The sand on the beach is quite fine. There are people flying kites on the beach, some swimming on the beach, and some taking speedboats to play in the sea. The sea and sky were the same color, and small planes roared from time to time in the sky passing overhead.

Several of my friends have purchased properties here, including three-bedroom properties with two living rooms, two-bedroom properties with one living room, and one-bedroom properties with one living room. They all mainly use it for vacation. Come and stay for a month or two or three months, because the living facilities here are not complete, there is no vegetable market, and there is no shopping mall.

The weather turned gloomy the next day, so I went to a seaside apartment to check out the sea view room my friend bought. That day, the sea breeze was so strong that it passed through the corridor and made a terrifying "hissing" sound. I forced the elevator door to open. , forcing the elevator to stop operating.

The hotel we stayed in faced the sea, and the windows were all closed. I was thinking, it's a good thing I couldn't open the windows, otherwise the room wouldn't be able to withstand the wind and rain.
