Travel Notes | Trip to Anhui ⑦ On one side is the ancient city of Huizhou and on the other is the ancient town of Yuliang

Tickets for the ancient city of Huizhou are 95 yuan. If you buy tickets online, you need to exchange them for paper tickets on site. The tickets include free explanations from the tour guide.

The ancient city of Huizhou, also known as the ancient city of Shexian County, and Xin'an County in ancient times, is one of the four well-preserved ancient cities in China. It is now a 5A-level scenic spot, including Huiyuan, Yuliangba, Xuguo Stone Square, Doushan Street, Tao Xingzhi Memorial Hall, Xin'an Monument Garden, Taibai Tower and other attractions.

You also need to check tickets to enter certain attractions. It is best to bring paper tickets with you.

The most special one is the Xu Guo Stone Arch, which is not the usual four pillars but eight pillars, forming surrounded on all sides . It is the only archway in China and is known as the "Oriental Arc de Triomphe" .

I would like to emphasize that the tickets for Huizhou Ancient City include Yuliangba and Yuliang Ancient Town . If time permits, you can go and have a look after visiting Huizhou Ancient City. Yuliang Dam, known as "Jiangnan Dujiangyan", was built in the late Sui Dynasty, more than 1,400 years ago.

Yuliang is an important waterway wharf where Huizhou merchants have flourished for hundreds of years. It is the only way for Huizhou merchants to travel to and from business. It is called "the source of Huizhou merchants" .
