What a joy it is!
In addition to the well-known Yangpajing Hot Spring, there is also a good hot spring hidden around Lhasa👇.
Let’s go on the weekend and have a naked bath on the plateau!
♨️
Dezhong Hot Spring, about 4,500 meters above sea level, is located in Mozhu Gongka County.
It is only 7 kilometers away from the Mozhugongka intersection. The water temperature of this hot spring is about 40℃, and the spring water contains elements such as sulfur, coltsfoot, asphalt, cold water stone, and coal. It is also a rare pure natural gas bath with crystal clear bottom. There are many pebbles at the bottom of the pool, and the spring is bubbling with hot bubbles.
Dezhong Hot Spring has a history of more than 1,400 years. The beautiful mountains and rivers, lush vegetation, fresh air, rocks and cliffs, and the clear singing of larks in the depths of the clouds constitute a unique special tourist environment for medicinal bathing and pilgrimage.
Dezhong Hot Spring is called "The No. 1 Hot Spring in the World" by many Westerners. From a distance, Dezhong Hot Spring seems to be located in a triangular valley. There are monasteries and houses along the slopes. The slopes on both sides are alpine pastures. The buildings in the mountains all have white exterior walls that are favored by Tibetans. The Dezhong Nuns Temple The golden roof is very eye-catching.
Due to the changes in minerals in the formation, the spring water of Dezhong Hot Spring is usually light cyan, but on good days and auspicious days, it will appear white, yellow or red. Water of different colors has special curative effects on the human body . When the temperature is high, many medicinal snakes will appear in the water and the surrounding walls. The medicinal snakes will increase the healing power of the spring water and have never hurt anyone for thousands of years.
Local people are used to coming to the hot spring every spring and autumn and staying for a week to rub their painful knees and joints to relieve fatigue.
The water is clear and the temperature is suitable. The water in the female hot spring comes from the male hot spring and then flows out. There is also a small spring bubbling from under the stone, so it is relatively clean.
The male hot spring has more spring eyes and is very buoyant. There is a stone that is said to be able to rub the head, because the impact of the spring eyes requires force to touch it.
There is a statue of Padmasambhava in the corner of the soup pool. Only those who have taken a clean bath can go to the corner to chant sutras and pray.
In early May, snow began to fall from the sky, and the sky and mountains were blurred with a vast expanse of white air mixed with hot water.
Walking out of the main soup pool, men and women enter in turns. People inside stood closely next to each other, chanted sutras and prayed, and then took turns to go out. The locals reminded me that the hotter the water is, the more people say "It's so cold, so cold".
Go out to the teahouse to drink a cup of hot tea and eat a bowl of Tibetan noodles. There is a small room where you can do it (similar to some kind of Tibetan medicine massage). The doctor comes from Lhasa and stays for a month or two before going back. You can also buy a facial mask (made from a certain kind of grass). It is said that after applying it for a week, your skin will be smooth and white.
