I believe most people know Daocheng Aden through online media. It is the filming location of "Passing Through Your World". Its popularity on the Internet has also attracted many tourists to the Aden scenic spot. Now let's talk about how to get there from Chengdu. Daocheng Yading.

From Chengdu to Aden, you can fly directly there, join a group tour, or drive by yourself. The most recommended is a self-driving tour, because there are many beautiful scenery on the road. If you drive by yourself, you can stop whenever you want, which is very comfortable; Traveling from Chengdu, which is 500 meters above sea level, to Shangri-La Town, which is 3,500 meters above sea level, it may be easy to get high altitude sickness, so make your decision based on your physical condition.

day1: Chengdu—Kangding—Xinduqiao—Tagong Grassland

From Chengdu to Kangding, the highway is all the way. On the way, you will pass the spectacular Yakang Bridge and pass through the urban area of Kangding. It is the first pass of Kangba - Zheduo Mountain. It can be said that it is the only place to pass by 318 to enter Tibet. The altitude At 4200 meters, you can stop for a while, get off the car and experience the feeling of high altitude.

Further west from Zheduo Mountain, after driving for about an hour, you will arrive at Xinduqiao, a paradise for photography. The autumn in Xinduqiao is beautiful, but most of them are inns and restaurants, and there are no places to visit. From Xinduqiao to Tagong It's about an hour's drive and the road is very beautiful.

It’s almost evening when we arrive at Tagong Town. After checking into the inn, we can take a stroll in Tagong Town. Tagong Grassland is right next to it and the majestic Tagong Temple. There are many monks in the temple and there are many prayer wheels for praying next to it.

day2: Tagong Grassland-Moshi Park-Litang-Daocheng

Get up in the morning and have some breakfast at a nearby restaurant to allow your body to slowly adapt to the plateau. You can see the sunrise in the Tagong Grassland and the sunshine in the Yala Snow Mountain. The weather was not good that day. After getting up at 6:30, I looked out the window. There were thick clouds. I knew I couldn’t see the sunrise today, so I didn’t wake everyone up. The owner of the inn was very nice and the inn was beautiful and comfortable.

After breakfast, we set off to Moshi Park. Moshi Park starts accepting tourists at nine o'clock. A shuttle bus is necessary. The entrance and exit are several kilometers apart. In the end, you have to take a shuttle bus from the exit back to the entrance.

The starting point is a prairie, and you can see the unique inkstone geology just a few hundred meters away. Looking at the Bamei Stone Forest from a distance, you can tell it at a glance from the color tone. The stone forest is gray, and it is surrounded by mountains, woods, grassland, and flowing water. Be colorful. These changing colors are like the changing scenery of a stage, which also allows Bamei Stone Forest to present different beauty in different seasons. In summer, when the mountains are green and the green grass and wild flowers bloom, the stone forest is like a distant gem placed on a colorful carpet; in autumn, when the mountains are covered with golden grass and red maples, the stone forest seems to be reborn from the fire. .

In Moshi Park, there are many forked roads, all of which are similar. You don’t need to go to every place, but you must go deep into the stone forest. It is very beautiful to take pictures and is also suitable for aerial photography.

After coming out of Moshi Park, it was already noon. I returned to Tagong Grassland for lunch and then set off for Daocheng Aden. Traffic control was implemented on a section of the road from Yajiang to Litang. I thought I would arrive before two o'clock, but when I arrived from Yajiang to Litang, traffic control was implemented. This section of the road to Tang is not so ideal. The road has to go through the 18th bend of Tianlu, which has a high altitude gain. As a result, we were stuck on the road. While we were waiting, a local Tibetan asked us to take a detour from 317. , but after thinking about it, I decided to go step by step and not take any more risks.

Sunny sky one second and dark clouds the next

It was already six o'clock when we were released. It was hailing in June. Koala, who was also leading a group in western Sichuan, also encountered this storm. Lightning, thunder, wind and rain, and the density of the hail reduced visibility. It reached its peak, and within a few minutes, the original green mountains turned into snowy mountains. This was the first time I saw hail in June, and I couldn’t help but sigh that the weather on the plateau is really ever-changing.

I was worried that my teammates would not dare to drive at night, so we discussed staying in the auditorium. My teammates said it was okay to continue on the road, so we headed south from Litang to Daocheng Yading. The dark clouds had not dispersed yet, and we were basically the only two cars on the road. Watching lightning strike not far away, it went from raining to not raining, and soon it started raining again, stopping and starting. It was really a scary night.

Around 11 o'clock, heavy fog began to appear on the road, and the visibility was very low. I was nervous and did not dare to relax for a moment. The two cars alternated in the front, and the car in the back was more relaxed. When we reached Daocheng County, The weather was basically clearing up, and it was already two o'clock in the morning when we arrived at Shangri-La Town. After hurriedly washing up, I rested. My nerves were tense that night, but I didn't feel very tired. It was truly an unforgettable night, but compared with the nights that Genie traveled through later, it was still very relaxing.

day3: One-day tour to Daocheng Yading Scenic Area

The next day, after breakfast, we drove to the Aden Scenic Spot. There is a parking lot at the entrance of the scenic spot. There is a fee. You can buy student tickets for the tickets, but the shuttle bus does not have student tickets. The shuttle bus takes about an hour, and there are winding mountain roads along the way. , If you get motion sickness, prepare motion sickness medicine in advance.

Luorong Cattle Farm

We took the long line. There are two lines in Aden, the short line and the long line. The short line can easily be completed in three hours round trip. The short line is what I took after Genie Crossing. The scenery is not as good as the long line. If you take the long line, you need to take another shuttle bus. You don’t need to take the short-term route, but the long-term round trip takes about seven hours. Unfortunately, there is no place selling food along the way, so you have to bring it yourself. For the specific route, you can follow the Daocheng Yading Scenic Area article.

Maybe it was the wrong season, or maybe I had seen too many snow-capped mountains in western Sichuan, and I felt that Daocheng Yading was not as amazing as I imagined, or maybe I was missing a girlfriend to accompany me.

You may feel very hot when hiking in Luorong Niu Farm, but be sure to bring thick clothes . When you climb to the Milk Sea and stop to rest, you will feel very cold, especially if there are If it’s windy, it’s not an exaggeration to wear a down jacket on it in June.

Regarding the oxygen bottle, I personally don’t think it is necessary to bring it. It is a normal reaction for the body to feel uncomfortable in an environment with low oxygen content. As long as you slowly adapt to it, it will be fine. If you continue to breathe oxygen, you may become dependent on the oxygen bottle. , but it depends on personal circumstances.

At around 5 o'clock in the afternoon, we returned the same way and gathered at the shuttle bus to get ready to go out. The shuttle bus stumbled out and I vomited immediately after getting off the bus. In the evening, we found a restaurant in the town and we all had dinner together.

day4: Aden-Litang-Xinduqiao-Stingcuo

Early the next morning, I got up and set off after breakfast, returning to Chengdu via the original route. The weather was very good and the most beautiful scenery was on the road. Today’s trip is basically on the road, but the scenery along the way is really beautiful. This is one of the most enjoyable roads I have ever driven. It can be compared with the feeling of driving on the endless Gobi Desert in the northwest. However, this section The roads are full of green mountains and grasslands, full of vitality.

After arriving at Xinduqiao and filling up the tank, we took the small road to Stingcuo. We saw many prairie dogs and herds of cattle on the road, but the sky gradually became overcast.

When we arrived at Stingcuo, it was still raining lightly and there was just one dark cloud. Soon it became clear. We started to set up camp and made a fire to boil water. We lit a bonfire at night and a group of people chatted around the bonfire.

day5: Stingcuo-Zheduo Mountain-Chengdu

It still rained lightly at night in Stingcuo, and it was still raining in the morning. It was very wet. After hurriedly cleaning up, we drove back to Chengdu. After the rain, the Zheduo Mountains are still quite dangerous, so we must pay attention to driving safety.

To sum up: it is very easy to go to Daocheng Yading, but you have to choose the right season to go. All the places mentioned above can be navigated on the map, but you also need a certain amount of driving experience. There is no need to worry about refueling, accommodation, and meals. There are many gas stations, restaurants, etc. on the road. In addition, just pay attention to high reflectivity and warmth.
