Today’s destination is Bahe Town. The total journey is 42 kilometers. The road is as clean as yesterday.

Another clean day

In the afternoon, when I passed by Wuba Village, I saw a brown calf on the roadside. It looked very cute.

There happened to be a lot of trees on the roadside, so I broke some branches and leaves to feed it. This calf may be related to me. When it saw me breaking branches, it came towards me from a distance without me trying to lure or greet it.

Seeing that the calf was eating leaves, the two big cows also came over to eat. Then I folded willows, poplars, peach trees, and apple trees as I walked and gave them different flavors to eat, and they actually followed me for a hundred or two hundred meters.

Sometimes I will be "besieged" by them. I can touch the horns and heads of the cows without fear of me at all. I feel a great sense of accomplishment in an instant.

Brother Han said to take them to Lhasa🤣. But they seem to have a range of activities, and they no longer follow me after arriving at a certain place.

The calf keeps following me

Today I also passed by a place called Wujinzhapu Cave. I saw that there are stairs built along the mountain, and you can walk to the viewing platform on the cliff.

I have always wanted to take a high-angle view of the Niyang River, and this place suited my liking, so I walked up the stairs.

The wind on the observation deck is very strong, and the height of the guardrail is below the waist. When I first walked up, I was really afraid of heights and did not dare to go to the edge to take pictures.

So I started observing this feeling of fear and wondering how it came about. I found that I was actually afraid of three things: the wind blowing my hat away, the wind blowing my mobile phone away, and the wind blowing me away.

Obviously the third point is impossible. It is just a psychological activity, but I am still afraid.

I am sincere

At this time, I started to recite the six-character motto, and found that the louder I recited it, the less fear I felt in my heart. It really had a magical effect. Only then did I dare to walk to the guardrail and take these high-angle photos of the snow-capped mountains, Linla Highway and Niyang River together.

After going down the mountain, we walked forward for a while and got on the bus. I met a Tibetan teacher in the car who spoke Chinese very well. But when I mentioned Kailash, she didn’t understand it. It took her a while to realize it, and she taught me to read it in Tibetan, which is roughly like this: Kángrènpòqī

She also told me that there used to be a lot of people walking or kneeling here for pilgrimage, but now they are not allowed to do so, and there are people in the village who monitor and report. I won’t say more, otherwise I will be harmonized again.

The place where I live today is Bahe Town. There is Basongcuo Scenic Area nearby, which is Tibet’s first natural scenery national 5A tourist scenic spot. Therefore, accommodation here is relatively more expensive, but remember to call and ask about the price before booking on the website. It is usually cheaper.
