Day 3: Visit the Finless Porpoise Science and Education Center in the morning, visit the Green Expo after dining in the shopping mall, and return to Shanghai in the afternoon.

*Considering that there will be a lot of people at the mainstream attractions during this short holiday, I specifically chose to rent a car at Nanjing South Railway Station. The scope of activities is only in Pukou District and Jiangning District, two areas with relatively few tourists.

**Considering the convenience of parking, basically choose the comprehensive shopping mall for every meal, which will be mentioned in the travel notes.

Day 1 Pearl Spring Scenic Area

Pick up the car at 11 o'clock and have dinner at Jinshengtian Plaza at noon. There are ample parking spaces in the ground parking lot. In March, I booked a points room at Hualuxe Hotel on the Yangtze River (equivalent to 400 yuan/night) on the official website. I contacted the hotel one day in advance to get a free room upgrade and room reservation. It is very important to reserve a room. You can go directly after completing the check-in procedures. Get your room card to avoid long waits caused by high occupancy rates during long holidays.

Pearl Spring Scenic Area is located at the southwest foot of Dingshan Mountain in Pukou District, surrounded by mountains and rivers. It integrates natural beauty, classical beauty and modern beauty. It is known as "the first tourist attraction in Jiangbei". The scenic spot is famous for the Pearl Spring, also known as Xike Spring. As long as you clap your hands, the spring water will continue to gush out, and the water bubbles will look like pearls floating on the water.

According to the introduction of local friends, the scenic spot is mainly occupied by local tourists. Even during the short holidays, there will not be too many foreign tourists. There are many people on the small bridge but it is not crowded.

The lake in the scenic area is clear, and the classical landscape is dominated by Ming Dynasty architecture. The Dragon King Pavilion is the main body of more than 30 buildings, platforms, pavilions, and pavilions.

Listen to a pop song played by guzheng, a perfect combination of fashion elements and art.

The ancient-style oil-paper umbrella made with traditional craftsmanship goes well with the surrounding buildings.

Compared with the common electric boats, the bamboo raft boat rented at the cruise terminal is quite interesting. It costs 75 yuan per hour. If there are more than 3 people, additional charges will be required.

The sun was setting by the lake, and the breeze was blowing, making me feel uncomfortable.

In addition to the scenery, there is a small children's playground in the scenic area. There are not many play facilities. I experienced darts and got a bonus doll. The children loved it along the way.

Points to note on the first day of itinerary:

1. In addition to the above-mentioned attractions, the scenic spot also has a zoo, a water park and the Great Wall. You can buy tickets individually or in combination.

2. The zoo has performances if you go early. The water park is outdoors and you can try it in summer. The Great Wall is a replica, so it is recommended to take a look at it from a distance.

3. Recommended comprehensive dining mall: Longhu Jiangbeitian Street, 20 minutes’ drive away, with underground parking lot.

The next day Niushou Mountain and Nanjing Eye

Niushou Mountain is a famous Buddhist mountain in my country with profound cultural heritage. It is the founding place and birthplace of Niutou Zen Buddhism. Although the scenic spot is not 5A, it is worth a visit.

The scenic spot has two entrances from the east and west. It is strongly recommended to enter from the west gate and choose the Da Shi Ao parking lot. It takes less than 10 minutes to walk to the scenic spot.

As shown in the picture below, there are several farmhouses near the parking lot. We chose the more distinctive Foding Palace Somen.

You can see the Buddha-top pagoda in the distance before entering the scenic spot. When you arrive at the scenic spot at about 10 o'clock, you can also see the blue sky in the direction of light.

At the scenic spot ticket gate, there is a discount for purchasing tickets on Dianping one day in advance.

Take a look at the map. The left side is dominated by Buddhist culture, while the right side is more popular scenic spots. The whole tour is expected to take more than half a day, so we chose the more distinctive Buddhist cultural spots.

I heard that these battery cars can be used after holidays, just scan the code. If you want to visit the entire scenic spot without taking the scenic bus, it is a good choice.

The fish here are really greedy, so I don’t hesitate to throw some bread on them and risk being stranded.

After walking for about 10 minutes, we arrived at the entrance of the Buddha's Holy Land, and we could see the Buddha's Top Pagoda more clearly.

The small animal sculptures on the central square are very suitable for children to take pictures.

Generally speaking, it is not tiring to climb the mountain. There are about dozens of stairs and the rest are escalators. Once you get to the upper platform, you can have a beautiful view when you look back.

Finally we arrived at the Foding Pagoda. The tower is 88 meters high and has nine levels on four sides. This Tang Dynasty style building is one of the landmark buildings in the holy land of Foding.

Here are two recent photos. This tower can be visited. There are not too many people queuing in the afternoon.

There are various small signs hanging on the prayer tree , which are very beautiful. I hope that everyone who is sincere can have their wishes come true.

The restaurant Tianque Plain Noodles on the basement floor is very famous. We chose the Wufuzhen Fungus Noodles, which cost RMB 36 for a single order and RMB 39 for a set meal, which is more cost-effective.

Nowadays, Internet celebrity ice cream is popular in scenic spots. It is made in the shape of a tower and costs 12.9 yuan each. It comes in two flavors: milk and chocolate. You can take photos with it to suit the occasion.

After dinner, we started to visit the largest attraction in the scenic spot: Foding Palace.

Foding Palace is a deep pit building, where the Buddha's top bone relics are enshrined. It is 220 meters long, 160 meters wide, with an overall height of 89.3 meters, and a single building area of about 136,000 square meters. Its external space is divided into three parts: the large dome, the small dome and the Buddha's cliff. The internal space has nine floors, three above ground and six underground. It is composed of three major spaces: the Zen Grand View, the Relic Hall and the Relic Palace.

The afternoon light is no longer suitable for taking portraits, so hurry up and visit indoors.

The palace uses architectural techniques to echo the indoor and outdoor styles, and uses the natural "three trees" - Ashoka tree, Bodhi tree, and Sala tree to reproduce the Buddha's beauty in a natural and romantic way. lifetime. The first two trees are easy to see, and the Salo tree is left for everyone to look for~

In the center of the Zen view is a 7.5-meter-long white marble Reclining Buddha . The reclining Buddha has an elegant and quiet posture and can slowly rotate 360 degrees with the lotus on the base, symbolizing the blessings of Buddhism in all directions.

When there is show When lying The Buddha slowly descended, and 16-meter-high lotus petals slowly rose from the ground accompanied by music, lights, and water mist.

The corridor outside the building attracts a group of tourists to take photos. It is indeed a good place. If you want to take pictures of no one, it is recommended to come early or take pictures during the performance.

Sitting and resting will save your energy in preparation for going down the mountain to Nanjing Eye.

Nanjing Eye is located on the central axis of the Youth Olympics axis in Hexi New Town, Jianye District. It is the first sightseeing pedestrian bridge on the Yangtze River. It spans the Yangtze River in Nanjing and starts at the Nanjing Youth Olympic Culture and Sports Park and ends at the Jiangxinzhou Youth Forest Park.

The wing-like inclined steel cables flutter upward like the strings of a harp, and pedestrians walking through it are like notes jumping on the strings. It is a new landmark and a new attraction in Nanjing.

There is a museum and a small train in the square under the pedestrian bridge.

Attached is a panoramic picture. After passing through Square, we came to the last attraction of the day: Poly Theater.

To be honest, the whole theater, if hadn’t seen that is very close to Nanjing Eye, I really wouldn’t have gone there specifically. You can tell by looking at the photos that it looks pretty good from a distance. Okay, if you look closely it’s not a bit old, but it’s very dirty ...

If it was better maintained, it would still look pretty good when taking photos.

Points to note on the second day’s itinerary:

1. There are many people at the east gate of Niushou Mountain. It is strongly recommended to enter the west gate. Parking is also convenient. Even in the second parking lot, it only takes 10 minutes to walk to the ticket gate.

2. It takes half an hour to walk in the scenic area, and the queue for the bus exceeds 1.5 hours; it is a good choice to rent a battery car.

3. The sunset at the Nanjing Eye Pedestrian Bridge is beautiful. It is recommended to go 1 hour before sunset.

4. Recommended nearby comprehensive shopping mall: Huacai Tiandi, 2 kilometers and 10 minutes’ drive.

The third day: Finless Porpoise Science and Education Center, Green Expo Park

The Yangtze Finless Porpoise Science and Education Center is located in Singapore's Nanjing Eco-Tech Island in Jianye District. It is mainly used to promote the ecological protection of the Yangtze Finless Porpoise. Children like it very much, and adults are also worth seeing.

The exhibition introduces the overall overview of the Yangtze River flowing from west to east into the East China Sea from the Tanggula Mountains, as well as popular science knowledge about the Yangtze finless porpoise and other endangered wild animals.

The Science and Education Center also displayed the results of a baseline investigation on the survival status of the Yangtze finless porpoise in the Nanjing section of the Yangtze River carried out in the second half of 2019.

The Yangtze River Ecological Civilization is China's primary ecological conservation project in recent years. The finless porpoise is a rare aquatic creature unique to China and an indicator species for the health of the aquatic ecosystem in the Yangtze River Basin. It is known as the "water treasure of China" and the "living fossil" of the Yangtze River. ". Through the visit and the knowledge quiz Q&A , gained a deeper understanding of ecological protection.

Nanjing China Greening Expo Park, referred to as Green Expo, is located in Binjiang, Jianye District. It is named after the first China Greening Expo was successfully held here. It is one of the most distinctive greening theme parks in China. Shaqu Garden is mainly divided into the following functional areas:

Fire Theme Park : It has set up six major scenes of fire detection, fire alarm, evacuation, initial fire fighting, fire truck dispatch, and fire fighting and rescue. It integrates several major themes into a story line for fire science popularization.

Beach : An artificial beach formed by a thick layer of fine yellow sand. It has various functions such as rock climbing, water play, and beach sports. There are not many people in the afternoon on rest days.

Amusement area : There are quite a lot of amusement facilities, the prices are affordable and not expensive, and there are not many people so there is no need to queue.

In addition to the Sand Fun Garden, there are several scenic spots such as the river-viewing platform, the water-friendly plank road, and the art fountain square. They are basically covered with green and can be called a riverside forest oxygen bar in the city.

Points to note on the third day’s itinerary:

1. Parking is available on the road in front of the Finless Porpoise Science and Education Center.

2. Green Expo does not charge tickets, and the parking fee is 5 yuan/hour.

3. Recommendations for surrounding comprehensive shopping malls: Wanda Nanjing Jianye Store and Suning Huigu, both within a 15-minute drive .

write at the end

During a short holiday with so many people traveling, it was possible to avoid traffic jams and queues at scenic spots. The hotel also locked rooms with points in advance, which was very cost-effective. Overall, I was very satisfied and it is a recommended way to travel during the holidays.
