I've seen heavy rain in the desert

I actually watched it today.

It must have started raining in the middle of the night. When I woke up at 4 or 5 o'clock, it had been raining in Delingha.

When we set off at 7:30, the rain was a little lighter. When we passed the Qaidam Basin, it felt like there were really dark clouds on top, and there was a small gap between the clouds and the mountains that was bright.

There was a burst of rain that was so heavy that the wipers didn't even have time to wipe it. I couldn't see anything, so I drove with double flash.

The driver said that he had never seen such heavy rain in Qinghai since he was born. The roads in Xining City were flooded.

Later, the rain gradually stopped. The Gobi desert in front was very northwest, and the mountains behind were shrouded in clouds and mist, giving it a southern scene.

Later, we met a lake on the road called Xiao Qaidam Lake. I stopped on the side of the road and took a look. I felt that the scenery here was beautiful no matter what.

Maybe I'm used to it. It's 3,500 meters above sea level here, so nothing seems to happen.

When you take a wide-angle photo of someone with an iPhone, your legs look unrealistically long

Along the way, there are basically mountains and mountains, grass and grass.

The Qaidam Basin is basically the Gobi Desert, with almost no trees. Mountains can be seen in the distance, and they are enclosed to form a basin.

Sometimes it is a bare mountain with only a few grasses; sometimes it is a kind of land between land and sand with only a few grasses; sometimes it is sandy land.

The mountains are also colorful

Then we arrived at Chaerhan Salt Lake around 11 o'clock, but the scenic spot was closed due to rain. Let's see if it can open tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.

I don’t know why it’s so evil. It just happens to be raining in Qinghai and sandstorms in Dunhuang. I won’t be able to go anywhere in the end...

You can also see it on the way to the Salt Lake. There are white salt flowers on the ground.

The slope behind is covered with white salt, which can’t be seen clearly in the photo.

After arriving in Golmud, I found a Qinghai local hot pot restaurant

The pot was so full that neither of us finished it. It only cost 100 yuan.

About high reflex:

Everyone reacts differently. Brother Yang can’t breathe, and I have ear pressure and have a headache.

We were a little uncomfortable when we first arrived in Xining. After all, we came from a place 40 meters above sea level😂

Then you will get better as you slowly get used to it. In the past few days, I have become accustomed to the altitude of around 3,000.

Xining is about 2,200 meters above sea level, Delingha, Qinghai Lake, and Golmud are all less than 3,000 meters above sea level.

Chaka Salt Lake 3100, the altitude of scenic spots and roads basically hovers between 3000 and 4000, and most of them are below 3500.

The Kunlun Pass is 4700, which is very high. Remember to buy an oxygen bottle. Don’t go directly. There is a process of adaptation and buffering. It is really unbearable to have almost 5000 people at once. Safety first is the most important thing.

It’s best not to spend the night above 3,000 degrees Celsius. It’s fine to take a shower or something. It doesn’t seem to be that serious. As long as your body adapts to it, bathing is OK. And as long as it doesn’t rain, cities with an altitude of about 3,000 degrees Celsius are not too cold (except for Qinghai Lake, The temperature difference between day and night is large and the wind is strong at night), it is best to blow dry your hair after taking a shower
