Most of the scenic spots in Quanzhou are in Licheng District. We stayed in Fengze District, in a B&B near Wanda Center, which is convenient for traveling on DiDi. The location is not a problem, but it is prone to traffic jams, which is acceptable. However, the surrounding environment is noisy, so don't stay here if you have a choice.

 

The two companies selected by airbnb are considered to be unfavorable. I posted screenshots to avoid them. The disadvantages are: dirty. It’s been a long time since I’ve stayed in such a place that’s so hard to describe. The difference between the buyer’s show and the seller’s show is too big, and I barely managed to finish the stay, which affected my mood.

There are good and bad

 

I ate the famous Hou Granny's and Lan's Bell Tower meat rice dumplings. They were quite satisfactory and not unpalatable, but there was no aftertaste, so I don't need to.

 

The local milk tea and fruit tea brands have tried Berry Super Crazy and Hu Jian. They are recommended. The texture of smoothie and fresh and sweet pulp are so refreshing that they are so delicious that they are so refreshing that they give you a headache.

You can also add various kinds of kantian, pearls and red beans without it being too sweet. We all order the configuration without additional sugar, which is very refreshing. (Their takeaway packaging is very cute and thoughtful, I love the berries so much)

The prices are quite moderate. We ordered a pot one day and it cost 35 yuan for two cups. Most of them are a large cup full of ingredients that can be purchased within 30 yuan.

 

Road stores and takeaways are both convenient. I also tried the Gu Ming brand, but it’s not necessary. I haven’t tried the beef spot yet, but I’ll try it next time I have a chance.

I had the Sdan Ginger Duck. The serving speed was OK, the price was OK, and the taste was OK. You can only order one piece of ginger duck. The portion is very generous, the taste is slightly salty, the duck skin is fragrant, the duck meat is tender, and the fat is rich, which is perfect for rice.

 

Served with a plate of green vegetables for five yuan and a large pot of rice for self-service, three or four people can eat one pot to their heart's content.

The ginger duck in Quanzhou is served in a dry pot. The ginger flavor is not strong, and it basically enhances the presence of the duck meat. It is a bit greasy at the end, but the aroma is very strong, and the satisfaction of eating meat is refreshing.

The famous Tingting Noodles Noodles will only open at 10 o'clock in the night. It's easy to find. If you search, there is also a Bei Chao Feng restaurant opposite. It kills two birds with one stone. The noodle paste has a light taste, and the very thin noodles are paired with soup and braised sauce of your choice, topped with chili pepper and Yongchun old vinegar, which is also quite fragrant.

 

But friends with light taste may not accept it, but as a late-night snack, it is completely acceptable and it is very comfortable to eat. Wait in line to buy, and when you go to the boss, you have to say with emotion what kind of marinade you want. Time is tight, so pick it as soon as possible.

I ordered braised large intestine. It was fragrant, glutinous, soft, rich in oil, and very clean. I was very impressed. If you can accept it, please order it. My friend ate it with fried dough sticks. I felt a little tired of it, but it was indeed an authentic way to eat it.

My favorite food on this trip is produced by Dongxing Beef Restaurant. The noodles topped with sweet chili sauce and black sesame sauce are super fragrant, sour, sweet and nutty. A small bowl is so satisfying. The beef soup is tender and smooth, the soup is clear and mellow, and extremely delicious.

Beef ribs, a magical food with both crispy flavor and fibrous chewiness. The seasoning is restrained and the meat flavor is rich.

The beef ball soup is also good, the soup is slightly salty, and the meatballs are smaller and more chewy than those in Chaoshan, but the taste is not that good. It is better than the beef ball soup, which is firm, plump and filling.

And their meat rice dumplings are also delicious, better than Grandma Hou and Lan's Bell Tower. They are hot and the glutinous rice is more delicious. I recommend them. The environment of the Fly Restaurant is very average and you need to share a table, but it is worth a visit.

 

We had breakfast there for both meals, and we were very satisfied every time. The price was also very good. If you don't mind the environment, please give it a try.

After returning from West Lake Park, I wanted to find a cafe to waste time, so I chose a courtyard in Licheng District called Twelve Flavors Life Cafe. A very beautiful villa area, a large yard, a very comfortable temperature, and beautiful internal architecture, perfect for taking photos and relaxing. The drink should be what it is, don't force it.

The night before I left, I ate at a magical restaurant in a remote area of ​​Fengze District. It was called Qiaozitou Restaurant. It was equipped like a car repair shop, but the freezer was full of huge shrimp mushrooms and swimming crabs, which were expensive and had various kinds of food. Fish species to choose from.

I ordered the stir-fried eel, which was the best of the lot. It had a braised flavor and the fish was cut into small pieces. It was soft, glutinous and elastic. The soup was suitable for soaking rice, and it was particularly fragrant when paired with leeks. It is different from the Japanese eel I have eaten in the past. It is very local, but not inferior at all.

I ordered boiled octopus and braised pork trotters, both of which were average but not unpalatable. They probably specialize in seafood dishes. We don’t have the budget or the number of people to spend, but if you go, be sure to order the stir-fried eel.

 

Let’s talk about the most popular restaurant, the very popular Tiexia BBQ, which is a Quanzhou specialty with peanut sauce. The chicken legs are good, but we may not be used to the rest and can't appreciate the deliciousness.

The leeks are very old, the meat skewers have a bitter taste, and all the ingredients are not very tasty, not just the peanut butter, so be careful.

 

There are a lot of ingredients for Aia Shihua plaster, so you have to queue up. The local sugar water is a little sweet for me. You can check in, but there is no need for those who control sugar. Nothing tastes good enough to break the habit.

 

Dongshan Island

Let’s talk about Dongshan Island in Zhangzhou. You don’t need to go there. The beach is very dirty, the transportation is inconvenient, and the overall scenery is not good.

If you want to go, remember to take the train to Yunxiao Station and transfer to the bus to Dongshan County. You can stay in Tongling Town. We chose to stay near Jinluan Bay, which is close to the sea, but the surrounding area is very cold.

But Dongshan Island’s small tubes and tofu fish are both delicious. If you have the opportunity to taste them, you must try these two ingredients. The small tubes are so soft and fresh, and they are delicious when boiled and braised. The tofu fish is boneless and moist. Fresh and tender, perfect for making soup. Apart from that, Dongshan Island is not necessary.

Finally, I would like to recommend the vinegar pork and fried chicken legs we bought. The name is Asan Chain. You can just take a taxi there. Just place your order, pay, and wait in line to get your food. The vinegar pork is crispy and sour, like Northeastern pork without thickening.

 

The chicken legs are lightly seasoned and fried to a good temperature. It feels like what I ate when I was a kid. I recommend it. I don’t like the floating cake very much.

I also had duck porridge from a chain store, which is very similar to noodle soup. The porridge is the carrier, and you can choose various marinades in it. The salty and salty food warms the stomach. It's quite comfortable to have a bowl when you don't know what to eat.

Quanzhou has concentrated tourist attractions, convenient rides, affordable prices, and a slow pace. We didn't climb Qingjing Mountain or visit various temples. We spent most of the time lying down and eating in a daze.

It's a pity that we didn't explore the surrounding districts and towns, but I guess I'll go there in the future, so that's okay. I just took a quick tour, and the travel notes are just a glimpse, so let’s take a look at them.
