Dear Lin'an:
The beautiful scenery yesterday really made me nostalgic.
Unfortunately, we only stayed in the picturesque Lisbon for one day and then hurried back to Spain. There is an ancient city in Spain - Salamanca.
Salamanga
Salamanca is called the "City of Gold", not because of the priceless gold hidden in it, but because the buildings here are all splendid and intoxicating. Those magnificent buildings were not made of gold, but since they were completed, they have become unparalleled in luxury.
There is also an older university in this city - the University of Salamanga. This university is one of the oldest universities in the world, as famous as the University of Paris and the University of London - Columbus even visited mathematicians and navigation experts in this university before he went to sea!
Salamanga Cathedral
Salamanga Cathedral was built in the twelfth century and is the predecessor of many European churches. This church has a very retro and rigorous style, both in terms of structure and paint color. It is said that people who are knowledgeable in architecture and foreign cultures can even see the unique style and temperament of the Spanish royal family from the carvings of the church.
I heard that there is a legend about the University of Salamanga: out of yearning for the future, when a craftsman was building the university, he specially created a waving astronaut and a lion enjoying ice cream next to the main entrance. This legend was not only confirmed by me, but also by the entire tour group!
Beside the main entrance are carved many fanciful patterns: growing vines, twisted bulls, flames swaying in the wind... These seem to be to cover up the existence of the two patterns that are incompatible with the twelfth century. Therefore, even if I have extraordinary eyesight and senses, it is difficult to find the astronaut and the lion among the winding vines.
Unexpectedly, just when I wanted to give up, a group member suddenly jumped up, pointed to a place above my head, and shouted loudly: "Found it!" over there! over there! ] The rest of the people's eyes followed her fingers, but soon after, everyone's eyes began to be filled with doubt and disappointment.
As for me, it seemed that I was in a superior angle than others, so I looked up and saw the astronaut. His face was expressionless, his eyes looked forward calmly, and even his waving movements were extremely stiff.
Finding an ice cream-eating lion is not that difficult, though. The lion's position is lower. Its ferocious smile and its paws holding ice cream and its feet firmly fixed on the vines are also clues to find it - but when I looked at it carefully, I found that it had neither The mane is fluffy and sassy, and there is no slender tail. I think it may be a weird creature, not a lion as everyone imagines.
My Photo
There is also a legend at the University of Salamanga - not a legend, but the best wishes of the students - that there is a small frog on the wall of the school's main entrance, which can guarantee that the person who finds it will pass all subsequent exams. For their own future, students always gather together in groups to compete with each other to see who can find the frog hidden among the many carvings.
Maybe it's because I'm not smart enough, so I used all kinds of weapons, even the camera on my phone was stretched to the longest, but to no avail. Minute by minute passed mercilessly, but I still didn't see the shadow of the little frog. I was quite disappointed when I heard the news that most of the group members had found the frog, which made it even worse. I almost lost all hope in my study. (The frog at the University of Salamanga is actually hidden on top of a skull. The souvenir shop near the university has a detailed introduction to the frog, as well as a figure of the frog standing on the skull. Because the frog is too small, Coupled with the shadow, finding it is as difficult as finding a needle in a haystack. However, finding the frog does not mean that you will be able to pass all subsequent exams. You still have to rely on your own efforts to succeed!
If you want to make a generalization, then merge the title of Salamanca with its legend and turn it into [two major legends in the golden city]!
