Fengjing Painting Search in Fengjing Ancient Town, Shanghai is one of the eight scenic spots in Shanghai. In addition to the paintings that can be found in the streets and alleys of the ancient town, there is also a Chinese Peasant Painting Village in Zhonghong Village, about 5 kilometers away from the ancient town scenic area. A place to find paintings.

Peasant paintings, also known as modern folk paintings, are the continuation and development of traditional folk paintings. They usually refer to farmers, herdsmen, and fishermen as the creative subjects after 1949, as well as amateur authors from other classes. With their unique artistic language, Paintings made and appreciated by oneself.

Peasant painters used simple painting language, bright red and purple colors, exaggerated descriptions, concise and lively styles, and profound themes to vividly record the historical changes in China's rural areas. Exaggeration and changeability, strong colors and strong local flavor have become the biggest characteristics of Chinese peasant paintings, which have also made peasant paintings an important part of Chinese folk rural art.

After entering the gate, the sign guided us to start the tour by turning left first, but after we visited, we found that it was not very big inside, and we would not miss any place even if we wandered around casually.

Our route is to start the tour to the right.

There are very few tourists now, and it almost feels like a private tour. I don’t know if it’s the weather or other reasons, but there is always a feeling of “endless falling trees rustling under the trees”.

When we arrived at the small square of the Chinese Farmer Painting Village, we passed through the bamboo forest path and came to a vegetable garden.

My brother said that walking through this bamboo forest path felt like traveling through a time tunnel~

It has an idyllic scenery, with several small farmyards, in front of the house and behind the house, various vegetables are grown in the vegetable field, and the chickens and dogs are listening to each other in a leisurely manner.

Some brightly colored peasant paintings can also be seen on the walls.

At the end of the path is the Chinese Peasant Painting Exhibition Garden, where some representative peasant paintings from all over the country are exhibited.

For example, the peasant paintings in Huxian County, Shaanxi Province,

Peasant paintings in Huangzhong, Qinghai,

Peasant paintings from Dongfeng, Jilin,

and other peasant paintings from across the country.

It also focuses on the peasant paintings of Jinshan, Shanghai.

Jinshan peasant paintings originate from traditional folk crafts such as blue calico, stove murals, paper cutting, embroidery, weaving, wood carving, brick carving, and clay sculpture. They are rooted in the fertile soil of Jinshan's 586 square kilometers and have a broad mass base. .

It takes Jiangnan water towns, customs and real life as its main themes. It has a simple conception, bright colors, strong contrast, exaggeration and change. It is elegant in simplicity, clever in clumsiness, and has a strong flavor of life and artistic expression.

Generally speaking, the colors painted by farmers are very bright and strong, very down-to-earth!

There is a patio in the middle of the courtyard with good lighting. If the weather is fine and the warm winter sun sets, it is really a warm, comfortable and lazy corner to bask in the sun!

Coming out of the Peasant Painting Expo is the Art Square. The paintings on the wall are colorful!

A small river separates Nancaiyuan on the other side.

When I walked up the bridge, I saw that the door was locked and the South Vegetable Garden was temporarily closed.

Continuing walking, these farmyards are also farmhouse studios, and some of the peasant painters live here.

The children were very interested in these jars. My younger brother said, "Mom, look, there are eyes in this jar." I was startled, but after thinking about it I realized what was going on. I thought he didn't understand, so I asked him why he had eyes. When he couldn't answer, I tried to explain, but he said it was a reflection because there was water in it.

This is a child. Even though he knows the truth, his heart is still full of innocence and imagination.

Many times we are really ashamed of ourselves. They can see a flower in many landscapes that we think are ordinary. Because they have eyes for discovering beauty and rich imagination~

There are very few tourists here. In addition to being deserted, I also felt a desolate atmosphere. It is probably because some painting shops are closed, which makes people feel depressed.

Continuing forward, there is a children's playground, and there is also a farm restaurant where you can eat farm food.

Finally, you can go out from the hotel instead of the main door.

After having a good meal, I thought this road was so beautiful!

It has an idyllic scenery, quiet and leisurely, with few tourists. It is a good place to watch paintings and eat farm food. But my personal feeling is that it’s okay if you drop by to have a look. I don’t recommend coming here specifically, unless you really like peasant paintings.
