📝Impressions of Australia
Australia is the first country I have visited across continents during my independent self-guided travels after graduation. I wasn’t full of imagination before going, but during the 9 hours on the plane, I was looking forward to my journey more than once.
Why is it called a magical continent?
One is that there are so many species that it can be called the largest zoo in the universe. Not to mention koalas, emus, platypuses, and echidnas these cute and rare animals.
There are also kangaroos that can make humans cry, crocodiles that cannot fit in a truck, and giant spiders that are bigger than a palm. Encountering these wild animals will often make people cry and faint in the toilet.
Another surprise is that there are many landforms in this country.
Islands, reefs, deserts, and rainforests, in addition to these natural landscapes, there are also international metropolises like Melbourne and Sydney. No matter which style route you take, it can be satisfied.
Anyway, the friends around me want to see the outdoor scenery, want to see the city and learn about humanities, and even just want to eat and buy, and they are all satisfied on this continent.
📝My trip record
Australia is a very large territory.
I mainly travel to the east and south.
Fly from Guangzhou to Melbourne for entry, then fly clockwise to Cairns in the northeast, fly from Cairns to Gold Coast, and drive from Gold Coast to y6>Brisbane, and finally fly from Brisbane to Sydney, and then depart from Sydney.
Arriving at Melbourne
Daytime: Forest train-Sky high viewing platform-Yering winery
Night: Flinders Railway Station, Federation Square and other city night tours
On day 3, we picked up a car from the city in the morning and headed to the Mornington Peninsula. In the afternoon we started going to the Great Ocean Road ( Twelve Apostles, London Corner, Shipwreck Bay, etc.)
Arriving in Cairns on an early flight, we planned to go to the Great Barrier Reef but lost time, so we headed to the Kuranda Rainforest instead.
The weather was bad and we couldn't go to sea, so we wandered around Cairns instead. I also watched a movie that had not been released in China at that time.
The early flight landed at the Gold Coast to pick up the car. After playing on the coast for a while, we drove to Brisbane's Lone Pine Zoo. The night flight arrived in Sydney.
Sightseeing Bus-Darling Harbor-Sydney Bridge Climb-Fish Market, etc.
Continue sightseeing bus and Victoria Square
The advantage of walking this way is that for me, who first came to Macao, it means that I can check in and experience most of the famous attractions.
The bad thing is that it's a bit rushed, and you may be preparing to leave before you have savored every detail.
But a journey is a project, and there will always be a time for its completion. The only difference is everyone’s goals and planning process.
So whether it’s just a quick tour or an in-depth experience. It's all a form. After all, the most important thing is whether we achieve our goals and complete our goals in this project.
As for whether the walk is rich enough and whether the photos are good enough. As far as I'm concerned, that's everyone else's business.
📝Main attractions in each city
📜Melbourne
Maoben is the city where I have stayed the longest during my travels in Australia, and it is also my favorite city in Australia.
The great sights I have visited this time include the 3 days and 2 nights of the Great Ocean Road, the forest in the Dandenong Rangesthe small train, and the seaside Mo Nington Peninsula, Yarra River at night and city night view, etc.
My impression of Mao Ben is that he is young and avant-garde and has enough personality. Although there are some classics, there are more modern concepts and designs. Street graffiti can also be seen everywhere, and the university, which looks like an art gallery, is even more surprising.
Maoben's famous Great Ocean Road is a coastal road with a total length of more than 300 kilometers, far away from the urban area. There are mostly coastal landscapes here. If you plan to visit each scenic spot one by one, you need to stay here. Therefore, it is better to drive by yourself, or you can also sign up for a local tour group.

Small TrainI chose a one-day tour.
Watching the retro steam train whine through the forest on the mountainside is also quite interesting, especially since you can sit on the edge of the train and stretch your feet out.
After taking the train, there are also Sky High (the commanding heights of the city) and Yering Station (a winery with great views).
Regarding the journey of Dandenong Forest Train , for details, please click 👉 Macau Travel Diary | Daytime Cat Book
Mornington Peninsula is mainly a beach resort, farm, park grassland, etc., which is relatively leisurely. Known as "Melbourne's playground", it is mainly visited by local residents. Compared with foreign tourists who come from thousands of miles away, perhaps the tourism value here is not very high.

Along the Yarra River flowing in the city, walk carefully through Melbourne when the lights are on. At nightfall, the Flinders Railway Station , the century-old St. Paul's Cathedral, and the modernly designed Federation Square stand in triplicate . No matter how many people crowded in front of him, he remained unmoved.
Melbourne has such a power of blending, incorporating elements from all eras without violating them. I forgot that I was running around and playing all day long.

📜Cairns
Cairns is undoubtedly a place with quite concentrated tourism resources. The overall urban development level is naturally not as good as Melbourne or Sydney. But because it is the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef, it is favored and has unique advantages.
In addition to the Great Barrier Reef, Kuranda Rainforest and Panirola Park are also two sacred places worth visiting.
When I went to Australia for the first time, I was unable to go to the Great Barrier Reef due to an error. Fortunately, I went back in the second half of the year and made up for the regret. So I combined the two articles and wrote them together.

📜Gold coastGold coast
You should immediately know that the characteristic landscape of this city is the seaside . But for people who have been able to see the sea since childhood, it really doesn't make any waves.
But maybe Warner Movie World and Q1 Skyscraper will attract you. It might be even better if you go on a night tour to see blue-light fireflies.
For details, please see 👉Gold Coast | Australia’s Surfers Paradise
📜Brisbane
Brisbane is the capital of Queensland and the third largest city in Australia. Like Melbourne, there is a river running through the city. And its famous Longbai Zoo, you can hold a koala here.
In addition, there is also a large garden where tourists can live with kangaroos and emus at close range (as long as you can tolerate the smell of poop, everything is easy)
Lone Pine Zoo situation

📜SydneySydney
Sydney's Harbor Bridge can be climbed. Bondi Beach in Sydney is a check-in spot for internet celebrities. The night view of Sydney Harbor is unparalleled. Sydney's Blue Mountains Park takes you to see the outdoor scenery. Sydney’s fish market will satisfy your seafood foodie dreams.
If you really don’t know where to go, buy a sightseeing bus ticket. It’s okay to let this red knight take you around. Anyway, this city is full of highlights.

📝Consumption expenditure
✈ Air ticket¥6897
This expense includes domestic round-trips between Melbourne and Sydney and 3 trips within Australia. Most of the 4,000 are round-trip air tickets. Currently, there are direct flights to Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Adelaide, Darwin, Brisbane, etc.
The remaining three domestic air tickets in Australia range from ¥700-¥900. It’s cheaper to buy your air tickets early.
🏨 Accommodation ¥5724
The hotels on the Great Ocean Road are not expensive. The 600 to 700 yuan booked was considered a normal price, but it still provided a clean room equipped with a kitchen.
The hotels in Sydney are a bit greedy. Because I wanted to be close to the Grand Theater and the Bridge and see the beautiful scenery directly from the window, I spent nearly 3,000 on accommodation in Sydney.
In addition, since I live with relatives in Melbourne, I also saved money on two days of accommodation.
Get a mentality here:
In fact, you don’t need to ask someone frequently for accommodation information. Just sleep for one night, read the reviews and see if the price and location are similar. Going back and forth, comparing, and asking others all the time is very energy-consuming and time-consuming.
👓 Activity About ¥4000
The main activities are the Melbourne train (about ¥300) and the Sydney sightseeing bus (AUD$90).
The more expensive ones are the Sydney Bridge Climb, which costs AUD$253, and the deep diving on the Great Barrier Reef, which costs nearly RMB3,000. Snorkeling is about RMB1,000 cheaper.
📓 Endorsement/WiFi ¥1500
The endorsement + payment is nearly 1,000 yuan.
WiFi rental is ¥30+ per day, totaling more than 400.
🚗 Car rental about ¥4000
The low-priced model in the SUV class takes about 5-6 days, with all insurance included. The daily price is about 400-800, depending on whether the car is returned in a different place and the local market conditions.
I remember that half a tank of gas costs $50-60, and a tank of gas is double that.
🍰 Food No overall reference
The price of a bottle of mineral water or beverage is about $3-4; a cup of coffee or a piece of bread is about $4-6.
So breakfast is usually $10-15 for me. The main meal for me is about $20-30. Let’s give you a rough estimate of the price.
📝Regret list
In fact, there are many places that I haven’t touched yet, some of which have been mentioned above. For example, Melbourne also has Phillip Penguin Island, Gold Rush Town, and Eureka Sky Observation Deck and Ferris Wheel.
There are also Firefly Night Tour and Q1 Building that I want to go to on the Gold Coast. In Sydney, of course, the famous beach Bondi and the outdoor hiking in the Blue Mountains are there.
In addition to the east and south, Tasmania in the south, which is far away from the mainland, is also very interesting to explore.
There is also Ayers Rock (Boulder Scenic Area) located in central Australia and known as the heart of Australia. It is also one of the targets. Not to mention cities like Adelaide, Perth, and Darwin.
📝Postscript
No matter what, more and more people around me are going to Australia. Indeed, compared to those in Southeast Asia, Australia’s funding is indeed not cheap.
But each has its own way of playing, and I believe each has its own splendor.
In addition, working holiday visas for Australia and New Zealand have also been opened. Friends who have Gap year plans can find out.
As for me, I am still more accustomed to staying in my own circle. After saving enough money and time for a period of time, run out and take a breather. I have even put away my list of regrets, hoping that I can cross them off one by one in the near future.
Tsk tsk. I hope we can all achieve what we want to do on our own. It feels perfect 👏
