Kenting Second Memory

Welcome to Kenting

"Cape No. 7" stills

A package mailed to "Haijiao No. 7, Hengchun County" carries two love stories from different eras. "Haijiao No. 7" planted the seeds of pink bubbles in my heart when I was a young and ignorant person.

Kenting is right here.

I stood by the sail stone, just standing, listening to the sea blowing their stories with a unique melody: "Stay, or I go with you".

At the "Sail Rock" beach, the weather was gloomy and it was going to rain. It rarely rains in Kenting, so we caught up with it.

The January wind is chilly, but also very comfortable.

Kenting is located on the Hengchun Peninsula in the southernmost part of Taiwan. It is the only tropical territory in Taiwan. It is also the first nature conservation park established in Taiwan.

There are no high-rise office buildings and no hustle and bustle of traffic. You can put on the simplest and most comfortable beach pants and flip-flops and go for a walk on the beach. The splashing water drops splashed by the waves are also beating to welcome you. Time seems to be adjusted to 0.5 times speed at this moment .

Sunset on the highway.

I met the setting sun by chance on the road in Hengchun Town. It was on the other side of the sea. The remaining sunset on the horizon illuminated a corner of the sky. In the distance, it was like a gradually changing picture scroll, writing ordinary but brilliant little stories. town story.

I rode my motorcycle towards the sea, and it was also moving away at the same speed. The only thing I could touch was the afterglow falling on my body, mixed with the smell of the sea, and the frizz in my heart seemed to be slowly being caressed. flat.

The fish-scale clouds were very low, and the distance was illuminated by the remaining rays of sunset.

The night in Kenting is also moving.

The sound of the sea gradually grew louder, and I suddenly wanted to embrace the sea. Kenting in January is chilled by the sea breeze, but wearing a shirt is enough; the temperature of the sea water is lower than the body temperature when you first get out of the swimming pool in the summer. You will feel a little cold when you first get into the sea, but you must overcome it to blend in. fear.

Under the sea, everywhere you look is a deep blue, what you can hear is the silent desolation, and you can even hear the rumble from the movement of the body; I imagine myself as a fish, experiencing a The most primitive look of life in seconds.

Kaohsiung City Thoughts

Thoughts about Kaohsiung

Arriving at Kaohsiung by high-speed rail, we hesitated for a few seconds at the exit of the high-speed rail station with our suitcases in hand. A young man passing by came up and asked, "Miss, do you need any help?" He happened to be taking the ride as well. The MRT took us there along the way and showed us where to buy subway tickets. Many times before, we met enthusiastic passers-by who took the initiative to carry our suitcases for us.

On the bus, the driver is gentle and patient. He will say "Thank you for riding" to the passengers who get off at each stop, and then say "Let's drive" to the passengers sitting here...

I wrote in my diary that day, "I can't seem to find any other words to describe it except gentle and polite."

I saw it on the way to Cijin Peninsula by ferry, not far from the British Consulate in Dagou.

Everyone will not reveal the emotions in life easily, but give the gift of patience and gratitude to strangers who have never met before. Maintain social distance, but this distance does not make people feel indifferent, but makes people feel comfortable, because you know there will always be someone to help you .

On the Cijin Peninsula in Kaohsiung, the sun sets in the west and the sea surface sparkles.

It was a year after I went to Taiwan again. I packed up my luggage and rushed to Taichung. It was still the bustling snack night market and the familiar slightly crowded streets.

On the first night of arrival, the taxi driver said: "You don't have to worry about being alone. Taiwan's security is very good. It's not necessarily the same if you go to other places." After eating at a nearby late-night canteen, I missed him. After enjoying the authentic braised pork rice for a long time, the boss's greeting "Are you full" made me suddenly realize why I had the word "fear" in my heart before.

Taichung Fengjia Night Market in January 2018 & Taichung Fengjia Night Market in April 2019

Because it is close to Fengjia University, it is bustling with people every weekend, especially young men and women, so it is very lively.

On the way back, I stayed overnight at Taoyuan Airport to catch an early flight. Sister Billy from the next table came to accompany my grandma while she waited for the flight. We started chatting about something unknown and we chatted until late at night. They let me sleep for a while and helped me read things; I had apple milk and rice pudding to share with me. After that, Sister Billy and I exchanged greetings during holidays, and she warmly invited me to visit Taipei again.

Warm milk!

For me, Taiwan is no longer a novel tourist attraction that I visit for the first time, but more like a spiritual homeland that needs to be returned to many times.

When I was a child, I had a vague understanding of it in idol dramas. Now I just want to go again. Let the warmth of human feelings and the pictures of mountains and seas dilute the turmoil in my mind, and then time will give you the answer .

Eluanbi Park is almost at the southernmost point of Taiwan!

On August 1, 2019, free travel to Taiwan was suspended, and the countdown to going to Taiwan again was extended indefinitely.

During these days without traveling far away, the impression of Taiwan is always remembered again and again. Fortunately, I can still talk to old friends on Instagram.
