Yesterday, I chatted with the couple and found out that they were also going to Lugu Lake for two days. We took a taxi to Shangri-La Passenger Terminal early in the morning, took a bus to Lijiang (3h+), and then from Lijiang Passenger Terminal to Lugu Lake (4h+).

Day8 Napa Sea Lijiang Lugu Lake

Whether it’s from Shangri-La to Lijiang or from Lijiang to Lugu Lake, the scenery along the way is breathtaking. I originally thought I would sleep in the car, but I didn’t expect to see the scenery along the way. Thinking about it carefully, I really love the mountains, rivers, blue sky and white clouds.

By the time we arrived at Lugu Lake, the sun had already set behind the mountains. The sunset was particularly beautiful, and we even saw a purple sky. Have an early rest and start touring the lake tomorrow.

Day9 Lugu Lake Surrounding the Lake

The original plan was to ride a bicycle around the lake. After riding for less than an hour, I found that I had consumed too much energy from hiking, and my knees had been a little painful, so I had no choice but to ride an electric bike around the lake.

When I woke up in the morning, it was still covered with dark clouds, and there was not a trace of blue sky in sight. In just 2 hours, the sky was already clear. In addition, the lake surface is relatively calm today, and it is really like the realm of the sky. The sky is blue and the water is even bluer.

Day10 Lugu Lake Lijiang Beijing

There was still one morning left and we went to the pier to take a boat. The boatman was a Mosuo people. He explained to us their Mosuo people's "walking marriage" custom and the relevant knowledge of Lugu Lake. Lugu Lake is the boundary lake between Sichuan Province and Yunnan Province. The water source of Lugu Lake is groundwater. The outlet is six to seven meters high and is crystal clear.

Seeing beautiful scenery and meeting like-minded friends during the trip will add more wonderful memories to this experience.

There will also be regrets during the journey. Yubeng and Shenhu Lake are not challenging. If there is sunshine on the way to Binghu Lake, the scenery may be better. When taking photos of the Milky Way every night, it is either too windy or too cloudy... But officially With these regrets, maybe I will look forward to seeing her again.

Hiking in Yubeng was my first time hiking. I would like to thank the friends I met on the road for taking care of me along the way. Walking down the whole journey, I felt that I was in hell and my heart was in heaven. I think I fell in love with Yubeng and even more with hiking.
