Mr. Wang’s Cabin (Guiyang Chapter)

Author: Jian Yi

It was past ten o'clock when I arrived in Guiyang and checked into the "Mr. Wang's Cottage" I booked. This is my first time booking a B&B on Airbnb. In recent years, I prefer B&Bs when traveling. Casual and homely. I don't like hotels all the time. Traveling is sometimes about finding another invisible place. Because the dust of reality makes people's senses dull. Landscape and walking are a kind of awakening or soothing. Rujia's unique B&B is the home of Rujia, a walking inn...

Mr. Wang in Mr. Wang's cabin, in the instructions left to the guests, there is an experience of the owner's thoughtfulness towards the guests. The owner puts great effort into giving guests the best user experience. And introduced a sophisticated and convenient living and home concept. An interesting letter from the shop owner to his customers is posted casually as shown below:

"The owner sends a message to his guests:

What I provide for each guest is a change of clean bedding and a very clean house.

There are a total of 7 remote controls in the house, including curtain remote control, projection screen remote control, lighting remote control, projector remote control, Tmall box remote control, air conditioner remote control, and bathroom fan and heater remote control.

Lighting remote control: A`B`C controls the light switches in three areas respectively, D means turning off all..."

Let's watch a movie

Guiyang at night is soaked in lights and autumn rain. There was heavy traffic outside the window. I spent half an hour reading the instructions and using all the smart devices in the cabin. After bathing, wash clothes and dry them for half an hour. The bedding was clean and the owner changed it in the afternoon. However, I am still used to putting on my own bedding, and it feels particularly comfortable to get into bed. The 9-day trip to Guizhou from September 11th to 19th started from this lovely cabin.

Look at the furnishings in the house. The cupboard is fully stocked with firewood, rice, oil, salt and oil. Oven, microwave, range hood, exquisite tableware. You can easily pick the one you like from the two-frame book. The photo wall contains casual and lively comments from guests. Close the lilac and smoke curtains. There are elements in the cabin that I like, and they say good night to me.

Woke up in the morning and listened to the raindrops falling outside the curtain. The autumn rain keeps spinning. I went downstairs to buy breakfast and suddenly thought, should I make breakfast myself? For those beautiful tableware? I bought a pack of instant noodles and came back happily. After a while, the instant noodles were ready. It doesn't taste as good as the mutton noodles at the breakfast shop.

You should pack it up and go back home to change the utensils to eat. Haha, stupid. Not wanting to go out, I wanted to circle around and find a movie to watch, so I put down the projector, closed the curtains, and watched "The Room" while eating. The movie is a bit eerie and goes well with the rainy gray sky outside the window. The ending is pretty bright. The hut is diffused and feels like home. Strangeness and familiarity, the comfortable fusion of space.

I wanted to bring Mu Xin's booklet with me before departure but I couldn't find it for a while. The character Mu Xin is playful, humorous and a bit cold and demonic, making it the most suitable companion for traveling. But when I left, I picked up Yang Jiang's "Walking on the Edge of Life". The opening chapter talks about ghosts and gods. Mr.'s wonderful writing is vivid and vivid. "Ghosts and gods" kept "copying" in my mind along the way.

I have forgotten about ghosts and gods for a long time. I remember that after watching the only ghost movie "A Chinese Ghost Story", for half a month, every time I went to a dark place, I would suspect that there would be a ghost behind me, and I would look back from time to time.

After reading this book, I also had a psychological suggestion that I felt a little cautious when crossing the corridor. When checking in, I entered the key incorrectly twice. Think "Walking on the Edge of Life" is not suitable for traveling? On second thought, that’s not necessarily the case. Who is not walking on the edge of life?

Isn't life just a journey? Despite all the different births, they are all destined to be born together through different paths. The difference lies in their journey through life. Many experiences gradually fade away in everyone’s hourglass of time. The rest are integrated into the Oblivion chip.

One day, I accidentally jumped out and helped people regain the sense and taste of that fleeting time. For example, childhood, first love, youth and dreams, the mixed taste of life... Find out what "I" looked like after things have changed, was it ever like that? Time is always playing interesting and naughty games with people, intentionally or unintentionally.

So Sanmao said: "In the process of life, whether it is spring and snow, green vegetables and tofu, I have to taste it, so that my journey is not in vain!" For example, one day I remembered Guiyang. I will remember the sound of rain at night and the infinite steps in Guiyang.

Remember Mr. Wang’s cozy cabin. There are also cute dishes in the cupboard, two large straw beds for sitting on the floor, a photo wall, and a tree next to the bookcase. These small elements condense into the Guiyang logo in my memory. Why they are, I can’t tell...

Thank you Mr. Wang's cabin for bringing me a good feeling. He also volunteered to plant a soft-text advertisement for the cabin. All beautiful and good things are worth advertising. Isn't it...

Photos have a point of view

Illustration appreciation:

There are some moments that are recorded. Maybe it's beautiful, maybe not. But real.

Photos have a point of view. They speak of wishes and hopes; of minute temperatures; of emotional pain; photos speak of many, many things. Photos are another whisper...
