When I recently opened my circle of friends, the photos posted by my friends who were on vacation were like ice and fire: they were either going to the beach in Sanya to bask in the sun and avoid the cold, or they were skiing in the ice and snow in the north.
 
Recently, Ruirui also took the time to visit the Northeast, where she enjoyed skiing, hot springs, snowmobiles, après ski, glacier and snow scenery, and Northeastern cuisine.
 
First of all, for those who want to try skiing, let me tell you a few things you need to pay attention to before skiing:
 
The first one is of course ski equipment. Although ski resorts basically provide ski helmets, snow goggles, ski clothes, ski boots, etc., rental clothing that has been worn countless times always feels unhygienic. If you're a bit of a germaphobe like me, it's better to prepare your own ski equipment.
 
For beginners, the basic posture for skiing is the inner eight... hahaha
My helmet, snow goggles and gloves were all bought from Decathlon. They are basically the cheapest items. They only cost more than 500 yuan in total, but they are very enough for a beginner~
 
The ski clothing comes from the famous professional ski brand, DESCENTE.
 
How professional? There is their big logo in the ski resort~
Many people may think that ski clothes are not a necessary option. They can still ski if they wear thicker clothes. But after my first skiing experience, I discovered that ski clothing has several irreplaceable qualities.
The first is that compared to bulky down, it is lighter and equally windproof and cold-proof.
 

The second one is waterproof. My friend who was traveling with me didn’t wear ski clothes to look good. As a result, after a fall, his pants were soaked in snow and water, which made it extremely uncomfortable in the ice and snow.
The third is that the ski pants are designed to fit perfectly into the snow boots. For safety reasons, snow boots are very protective. If you wear ordinary pants + cold-proof socks, it is easy to slip halfway and your calves will be hurt. Professional ski pants have a two-layer design. The inner layer has a drawstring to prevent wind, and the outer layer has a wide mouth to cover the snow boots to ensure comfort during exercise.
 

 
What to wear under your ski suit? To be honest, I was wearing a T-shirt underneath, but it wasn't cold at all. For the lower body, it is recommended that you wear a pair of autumn and winter compression pants or Uniqlo thermal pants. I wore a pair of UA compression pants and put on ski pants, and I didn’t feel cold at all when I moved.
 
Another essential piece of equipment for skiing is a windproof cloth cover to protect the lower half of your face. When I bought the equipment, I thought it was unnecessary. As a result, I skated up there for half an hour, and my face turned red. When I went back to the hotel, I looked in the mirror and found that there were signs of frostbite. I sincerely regretted that Ruirui cared about her face so much.
 
 
 
In addition, the Northeast is not only dry and cold outdoors, but also indoors will be drier than outdoors due to heating! So, please prepare enough hydrating masks, lip balms, and sunscreen.
 
If your nose is prone to dryness and bleeding like Ruirui, in addition to turning the humidifier to the maximum, remember to put a tank of water in the bathtub. If that doesn't work, just put a wet bath towel on the bedside, which will relieve the painful nose a lot.
 

After the equipment is complete, we can go to the ski resort. It can only be said that skiing is so charming. As long as you master the basic posture and skills, the pleasure and excitement of speeding on the ice and snow is really awesome.
 
The result was that I skied for four hours without feeling tired the first time I skied, skied three intermediate ski trails in a row, and made no mistakes or falls. The coach said it was the first time he had seen students learn so quickly..
 
To be honest, you won’t be able to learn skiing without falling a few times.
 
I think the reason why I learned so quickly is based on my usual sports training. So if you want to try skiing and want to get started as soon as possible, Ruirui recommends that you strengthen the training of lower limb muscles (ahem, especially the hips) and core strength.
 
Although it may be necessary to sharpen your skills before the battle, proper practice is also helpful. We can use squats, glute bridges, and fixed equipment in the gym to practice the muscle groups needed for support and rotation: quadriceps, gluteal muscles, and adductors.
 
 
Also, you can properly train your balance ability before skiing. We can achieve the effect of training balance by jumping in a square with one foot, or doing deadlifts with a dumbbell in one hand.
 
The next thing that needs to be strengthened is core strength , which is also the key to advancing from beginner to intermediate skiing. I’ll teach you some freehand core exercises at home:
The first action: stand on one foot on a soft mat and keep your body stable. Close your eyes and remain standing for 15 seconds, then switch sides and continue.
 
For the second action, we can do dynamic side support. Exhale and raise the body upwards for 3 seconds. Inhale and lower the body without touching the mat. Inhale and raise again. Complete 15 sets on each side on the left and right sides. Repeat 4 sets. .
 
 

 
After talking about skiing, let’s talk to you about some interesting gains from this trip to the Northeast.
 
We stayed at the Hyatt Hotel in Changbai Mountain Wanda Resort. There are more than a dozen hotels in the resort. Hyatt and Park Hyatt are both next to the ski resort, so it is very convenient for skiers.
 
The hotel's facilities are very complete, including a gym, swimming pool, and a small hot spring pool next to the ski resort (there is a "Hanna Mountain" hot spring next to it, but local friends do not particularly recommend it).

What is worth mentioning is that there is also a small bar in the hotel where you can sing karaoke and play billiards. After skiing and eating, you can sit there and have fun with your friends.
 
 
If you want to take pictures of snowy scenes, I recommend you go to a lake called Fokulun. There are places where you can take pictures everywhere. In the ice and snow, you can see every step you take.
 
This set of photos was taken on the way to the restaurant. There are actually many glaciers like this in the town, and they are not considered scenic spots, but if you find a good composition, they are really beautiful.

But everyone must pay attention to safety on the ice. Because I was playing too crazy, I fell directly to my chin and knocked off a layer of skin, and the prosthesis almost fell out (no, no, I don’t know)

There is a snowmobile tour next to Lake Fokulun. You pay by time. We rode for 40 minutes and it cost 520 yuan per person. It was a bit expensive, but I still felt it was worth it after taking beautiful photos and videos. Haha ( After all, we don’t come here often from the Northeast).
 
 
 
 

 
Naturally, you want to eat authentic Northeastern food when you come to the Northeast. The town closest to Changbai Mountain Resort is called Songjianghe (it is said to be a small town, but its economic development is actually the size of a county town). It can be reached by car in about 15 minutes.
 
In addition to breakfast at the hotel, this trip basically consisted of eating and drinking in the town. After eating for three days, I summarized several must-eat delicacies and restaurants in the Northeast.
 
 
Iron pot stew, if you don’t eat iron pot stew in the Northeast, it’s probably a waste of time. All kinds of chicken, duck, fish and goose are stewed in miso soup, served with Chinese cabbage, tofu, and some Northeast specialty hazelnut mushrooms. , the taste is really satisfying.
 
The most delicious iron pot stew I had this time was from a restaurant called Xiangyu Fish. It is very popular and not only has many tourists but also local people. So if you want to eat, it is better to book in advance (we didn’t get a reservation and we waited a lot) for 2 hours).
 
Rock slab barbecue, as the name suggests, is barbecue on a rock slab. In fact, the cooking method is not novel, but the emphasis is on the fresh ingredients and the marinating method, so I highly recommend everyone to try it.
 
I highly recommend a shop called Star Rock BBQ. Their big squid is fresh and crispy, and their short ribs are delicious and juicy... so delicious that I doubt my life!
 
 
Changbai Mountain is located in Jilin, so cold noodles are naturally the most authentic here. After eating the stew and barbecue in the iron pot, I felt so tired. A bowl of refreshing and sweet cold noodles made me feel so good. I won’t recommend specific restaurants, because basically every restaurant serves delicious food.
