From June 10th to 13th, due to a business trip, I came to Xiamen, a leisurely seaside city that exists in the mouths of Ami, S, Anna and many other favorite bloggers, and a city with the sea that I yearn for.

Today I will take you to see the Xiamen I have experienced these days.

01

Waves, sun, twin towers

Since the business trip was at Xiamen University, we checked into a hotel next to Xiamen University. We couldn’t help but sigh that the life of Xiamen University students is really enviable. You can see the sea when you go out, and there is also the Twin Towers, where Internet celebrities check in, while taking into account various aspects. Growing night markets, snacks, fruits, and seafood is really a desirable university life.

The sky in Xiamen is very blue and the clouds are very close. It seems that all cities close to the sea are like this. The clouds are like marshmallows, soft and soft enough to be swung. The blue sky, white clouds, and sea are all elements of summer. Xiamen is very summery.

The sunset every evening will be particularly beautiful against the backdrop of the sea. The sunset shines gently on the building.

02

Eight cities, seafood, eating and drinking

I saw seafood that I had never seen before in Bashi, in various colors and shapes. There is an aisle between the food stalls, and the shopkeepers enthusiastically invite tourists to come in and have a taste. However, the excessive enthusiasm makes me, a person with social anxiety, at a loss what to do. I just keep responding, "No, thank you."

Ba Shi has the appearance of a home market, messy, crowded, noisy, brightly lit, and has the salty smell of seafood, but it is what life is like.

The two of us had a portion of braised octopus and squid for RMB 55, a portion of bamboo shoot jelly for RMB 15, a portion of bowl cake for RMB 5, and a large box of mango for RMB 10. We were really satisfied.

The octopus and squid are very fresh, and with the sweet and sour sauce, they taste very refreshing, but it is not advisable to eat too much, as they will become a bit greasy after eating for a long time.

The bamboo shoot jelly looks like the one on TV. There are strips of white or gray sandworms under the transparent jelly. There is no strange smell in the mouth. It has the taste of chewy jelly. With garlic vinegar sauce, it is very good. .

There are more than a dozen flavors to choose from for 5 yuan for two bowls of cake. We had the passion fruit and osmanthus ones, which were full of fragrance and sweetness in the mouth. The other flavors of bowl cakes are also particularly attractive under the light. , I must try them one by one next time.

Don’t make impulse purchases when you walk into the alley! ! ! The further you go in, you will find that there is no cheapest, only cheaper. We found a store at the end of the alley that sells green mangos for only 4 yuan per catty, while the green mangoes at the entrance of the alley cost 8 yuan, which is twice as expensive. Although the mangoes here are too sweet and lack the aroma of mangoes, they are still very satisfying.

03

Beach, waves, Jay Chou

Xiamen at night is more comfortable and friendly than during the day. The gentle wind, suitable temperature, warm lights, and street singers singing Jay Chou in the distance all tell you that life is so good.

The dry part of the sand on Baicheng Beach is very fine, like water, but the sand in the sea is very coarse, like gravel. Everyone took off their shoes and walked on the beach, feeling the coolness of the sea water for a moment. The father took the children to play in the sea, and the boy held the girl's hand and patted the sand on her feet. Not far away, several college students gathered together, sitting on the beach, playing the guitar and singing "Sunny Day" by Jay Chou. An uncle next door used colorful decorative lights to form a ring height for people to play.

Neon lights, the sea, Jay Chou, and gravel are all part of romance. They are intertwined and become a beautiful Xiamen night.

04

Gulangyu, people

It may take two days to visit Gulangyu Island, but you can stay there for one night and experience the life there. After a quick glance, you will only feel like a tourist.

I just want to say something, the scenery is so beautiful.

We met many lovely people in Xiamen.

The owner of a printing shop that makes brochures for the company was afraid of keeping us waiting for a long time, so he quietly went to buy an iced drink. I asked him where I could buy a power strip, and he said I could borrow theirs and it would be returned to him then.

The driver who took us to the eight cities in a taxi enthusiastically introduced us to many scenic spots, such as Zengcuo'an, Baicheng Beach, the Hongwen Food Stall that we didn't have time to eat, etc. When we passed by the seaside and saw the sunset, we wanted to take a few more pictures. When I stopped at the traffic light, he said he would stop and take pictures, and he reminded me to pay attention to my safety when I got off the car.

The aunt at the store where I bought the mangoes taught me how to tell whether the mangoes were ripe or not. She told her that if we ate well, we would come to her house to buy mangoes and send them home. She said they would be cheaper for us.

The eldest brother who drags a speaker to the beach and makes money from 20 yuan a song sings out of tune but still insists on singing "Ten Years".

We also encountered bad people. For example, when we walked out of the shop thinking that there were cheaper mangoes, the man said that 4.8 per pound was too expensive; for example, the shopkeepers in the eight cities emphasized freshness to you, but the price was ignored. Up and down.

In short, Xiamen is a humid, hot, and suitable place for falling in love. Some of the people here are cute and some are not (actually, it’s the same everywhere). Jay Chou’s songs are played everywhere here. It’s pretty good here.
