It was already past 8 pm when we arrived at Taxia Village. I argued for a while about some information asymmetry issues between online ticket purchasing and the hotel front desk. I was very tired at first, but then I drank one glass after another with my companions in the store. The various teas brewed on the tea table made me feel less sleepy at all. That’s why I had the energy to respond to their call at 10 o’clock and go down the mountain to see the night view of the entire village.

Although Taxia Village is not a well-known scenic spot in this trip, the entire village has become very scenic. Almost every household is doing some kind of business. However, because it is small to begin with, it is impossible to say whether the business atmosphere is strong or strong. light. Our focus is still on the scenery here. There was almost no one on the road late at night. Occasionally a car passed by, and the three of us hurriedly gave way. After all, the road was not too wide. The entire village is built along the river. The river channel is narrow and wide. Under the moonlight of August 16th, many shadows are reflected.

There is a streetlight about 50-100 meters away in the village, and two red lanterns are hung on the eaves of every house. We saw no less than 4 land temples, and we saw no garbage on the ground. There were still restaurants open until 11 p.m. , it can be seen that although it is built in the mountains, the villagers have been able to organically combine ancient beliefs with modern civilization.
We live in Tingquan Villa at the end of the village. The river originates from the mountains next to the village, so we can hear the gurgling water at any time. But what really disturbs us from not getting enough sleep is not running water, but drinking too much tea, and neighbors. The family across the river started getting up at around five o'clock in the morning to do farm work. The sound of various electric drills and iron sheets continued until after seven o'clock. After that, I barely managed to catch up on half an hour's sleep, so as not to be exhausted all day long. Lose spirit. Of course, we can’t blame others too harshly. After all, farmers have to start their farm work as soon as the temperature is low at sunrise. It’s not good to be too exposed when the sun rises. Let’s understand each other.

After breakfast, we started heading towards the Tulou in earnest. On the way, I walked around the same road I walked last night and found that day and night are really two different feelings. I am glad that I didn’t go out because it was too late last night. On the way, I also found flowers that were still blooming in early autumn, which was very amazing.

Because Yunshuiyao is so famous, it is inevitable that there will be a large number of tourists, so we took another route this time. The main sightseeing spots are Yuchang Tower and Tianluokeng.
Yu Cheong House

It has a history of more than 800 years and was built by five families. After it was built, the earthquake in Taiwan affected the pillars inside the building, so the pillars inside the entire building that you see now are crooked. This is also the most distinctive feature. The local people call it "staggering" due to its unique characteristics.

Another feature of it is that there is a small well with a diameter of about 20 centimeters in each room on the first floor. The water level is enough for residents to use ladles directly. (Because we were indoors, no photos were taken)

But what I didn't expect was that in addition to selling tea and small items in the tail building, there was actually a young man selling oil paintings, which was also rare. In order to support the artistic creator, I bought him a camphor tree. I struggled for a while about which one I should buy. Which of these paintings do you think is the best?

Tianluokeng

Then we came to Tianluokeng, which is the most famous attraction of this trip and the famous "four dishes and one soup" earth building group.

The bamboo forest in the tulou cluster down from the observation deck is worth recommending. The rustling bamboo forest and Tang-style street lamps are reminiscent of the bamboo forest path in Arashiyama, Kyoto, which is quiet and comfortable.

After getting off Tianluokeng, there is no sense of mystery when entering the earth building. This is also expected. We know that the earth building is like this, but we still have to go through twists and turns to experience it for ourselves. In fact, it also breaks the mystery to a certain extent?

Finally, under the leadership of the lunch boss, we used these buildings to take some new perspectives. Human imagination is also endless——

Two circles and one perspective:

Hundreds of years ago, when the Hakka people built enclosed houses here, they probably did not expect that their homes, which integrated military defense and daily life, would be developed as tourist attractions by later generations! After all, even the Forbidden City cannot escape this fate~
