Let's hang out together

Get off the car when you smell the salty air

Stop when you see the sky kissing the ground

Keep the starting point of the sunrise at the end of your sight

Meet the sea breeze coming from afar

Let the sea foam touch your fingertips

I don’t care if my hair is messed up.

The sound of the engine is synchronized with the waves

No matter how many days and nights pass

I still remember this scene

On the first day, the baboon said, "Wang Tongtong, be careful of cars."

The next day, the baboon said, "Wang Tongtong, don't sleep anymore."

On the third day, the baboon said, "Wang Tongtong, eat more."

I met the baboon at a team dinner. Maybe I feel that I am stronger, so I always think that she is silly and has a frightened physique and is confused. In fact, she is much more delicate than me. We are always happy when we are with baboons. We always giggle and giggle. The two of us are like childish ghosts, even quarreling and playing the same game. She would always stay by my side when I was mourning. Even though she was scared sometimes, she would comfort me and tell me that I was not afraid. Just like she said, "Even if it is noisy sometimes, I will feel at ease."

The Chaoshan area is located at the junction of Guangdong Province and Fujian Province, and belongs to eastern Guangdong, southeastern Jiangxi, and southwestern Fujian (the shadows of these three regions can be felt in the architecture and dialects of the Chaoshan area). Chaoshan is a region, not a place name. Now it generally refers to Chaozhou, Jieyang and Shantou.

During the Qingming Festival, in order to avoid the crowded crowds, I chose the regional travel destination Chaoshan. The overall itinerary was Chaozhou-Nanao Island-Shantou.

[2019/04/05 Chaozhou]

The baboon and I were not lost or lost.

The train ride from Xiamen North Station to Chaoshan Station takes about an hour and a half, and then you have to transfer to a bus to Chaoshan. There was Chaoshan dialect that we didn’t understand on the bus, and we were a little scared and uneasy because of the stop and go in the clouds and fog. But luckily, the two kind-hearted ladies sitting behind us told us that we should be there. Which stop to get off at.

/Twelve noon, the streets are deserted and there are only a few people.

/The green tricycle became the means of transportation for me and the baboons in Chaozhou

/ I read the words on the hanging sign as "fried steamed milk" and the baboon laughed all the way

I walked around the streets with the baboons

When we first arrived, the baboons and I went straight to the "Archival Street" surrounded by famous scenic spots. The quaint streets and the renovated archways still retain some of the original flavor. There are 22 archways in the entire street, and each archway has its own story, telling the history of this ancient city.

/Licorice fruit is so delicious

/Kway juice is surprisingly delicious

/Phoenix fried bean curd Lei Dian

/Hu Rongquan’s duck twists and spring rolls are very average

/Ancient Dessert Crispy Corn Forgot to Enter

/Tomato ebony & strawberry ebony, poured with licorice juice, it feels sweet

/Wuguchacha Eighteen kinds of ingredients, like eight-treasure porridge

/Haishihua is like the four-fruit soup with quail eggs. It tastes like eating popsicles when I was a kid.

/ I waited in line for an hour and a half to eat raw and pickled fish.

During the night tour of Guangji Bridge, I encountered Chaozhou’s famous duck shit-flavored milk tea. The unexpected surprise was really pleasant. The countless Chaozhou specialties and the folk houses deep in the ancient alleys are also very friendly. At about half past ten, we got on the green tricycle and the baboon and I headed back home.

[2019/04/06 Nan'ao Island]

I spent a day riding with the baboons

Perhaps because we recognized the bed (said the baboon), we woke up very early the next day, so we went to Hanshang upstairs to have morning tea. Two people, seven dishes, no surprises at all, we ate them all.

After having morning tea, we went to Chaozhou Bus Station and prepared to go to Shantou Nan'ao Island. Two confused people bought the wrong ticket, waited for an hour in vain, and had to pay for it again. The bus took us to Shantou for more than an hour, and then we took a bus from Xiti Pier to Nan'ao Island. I think this is probably the longest bus I have ever been on, with a total of forty-one stops. Because it was afternoon, when we crossed the Nan'ao Bridge, the sea was foggy, and the whole journey was very long. It was inevitable that the baboon and I felt a little uneasy. Because I was afraid that "if I get scared, the baboon will be even more scared," so I pretended to be calm. But she was different from me. She was visibly panicked, and she kept patting my thigh to comfort me and said, "Don't be afraid, don't be afraid." I replied to her very coldly, "You are afraid, I'm not afraid." Ahem.

Because we came to Nan'ao Island, we had the mentality that we must go to the Tropic of Cancer and took another bus for half an hour to Qing'ao Bay. When we arrived, the sky had already darkened. We hurried to the seaside square and took out our cameras to take pictures along the way.

/At 8:30, catch the last bus and return to Shantou.

I only had one meal today, which was obviously not enough. The main purpose of the trip for Baboon and I was to eat. It was already half past ten when we returned to the hotel, so we ordered a barbecue takeaway that cost more than 100 yuan and two bottles of RIO. The baboon is a little tipsy (by the way, I forgot to mention that she is also called tipsy).

[2019/04/07 Shantou]

The baboons and I eat a lot

If I woke up naturally on the second day after being unable to sleep, then on the third day I really couldn’t get up. At about nine o'clock in the morning, I got myself ready and started a day of eating with the baboons.

/Sugar scallion pancake. The sweet and greasy taste is mixed with the taste of scallions. Make up your own mind.

/The licorice fruit costs 42 yuan. It’s expensive but it’s really delicious.

/Xiao Wu rice rolls with thin and crystal clear skin are the best rice rolls I have ever eaten.

/Baheli herbal tea mountain grape and summer autumn chrysanthemum

Of course, a visit to Chaoshan is indispensable for a beef hotpot. When we took a taxi to Haiji Baheli Beef Hotpot, the driver’s uncle said to us, “You guys are from out of town. We Chaoshan people never eat beef hotpot in summer. It’s too hot.” It will make you angry, and the meat quality is not so good in summer." The sentence that impressed me most is "As long as a cow walks into Chaoshan, it will never walk out." Hahaha, I met a talkative driver, which sounded interesting words.

The soup base that I was a little bit disgusted with was actually radish clear soup, but the baboon and I still ordered five meats and two vegetarian dishes. Ah, two girls, they really ate too much!

/The place for digestion was chosen in the European and American style streets in Shantou

With the temperature approaching 30 degrees Celsius, of course a cup of strawberry ice is indispensable to relieve the heat! Experience the old taste of Shantou in the small park near No. 12 Middle School.

/Snow tart goes well with this weather

/Portuguese tarts and cheese filling tarts are also crispy and crispy

/Laomagong rice dumplings and hou cakes, one sweet and one spicy, so uncomfortable

/Xun Xun Mi Mi found a less distinctive double skin milk

/Big takoyaki and octopus balls are so exciting

/Strawberry Ice in No. 12 Middle School We went to two stores

/There don’t seem to be many milk tea shops here, but this milk tea lover still found "a cup of trendy tea", which is perfect in appearance and taste ( •̀ ω •́ )y

/ I was really misunderstood by the word "tea". I thought sesame almond tea was like herbal tea, but it turned out to be mushy and steaming.

Chaoshan eats the most rice cakes. On the way back, we passed by this shop called "Making Kueh Renjia". The baboons and I were completely attracted by the various rice cakes like children, and we jumped in. . With the mentality of eating with open stomachs when we come, we took one of each different flavor of cake, including sweet and salty, corn, red bean, fungus and so on. As a result, the taste was a bit unsatisfactory. One of us vomited the other after eating it on the train, and the two of us laughed at each other. It reminds me of the time when we used to decide between KFC’s fried chicken when we couldn’t eat it, rock paper scissors, and the loser got the fried chicken haha!

/afternoon a lazy cat

/Sunset on the way to the car

/The fairy-like clouds watched us leave the ancient city of Chaoshan

Stepping on the iron plate on the train, looking at the scenery outside the window, walking backwards, and listening to the sound of the train, form another memory of travel.
