The route from National Highway 315 to Shuiyadan is full of Yadan landforms. The scenery along the way made me full, so I did not enter the Shuiyadan Scenic Area.
Originally, the trip would have ended here, but I felt it was still early. It was 10 a.m. on October 5, and the distance to Dunhuang was only over 600 kilometers. If we set off immediately, we would reach Dunhuang at 4:30 p.m. After discussing it with my parents, and with my strong encouragement, we finally headed to Dunhuang.
After leaving National Highway 315 and embarking on National Highway 215, it was another national highway whose scenery shocked me. From the mountains-like rolling mounds, to the endless next door, to the mountain roads between steep mountains, and finally to the endless desert, the scenery along the way shocked me. On the contrary, after finally entering Mingsha Mountain Crescent Spring, there was no big surprise.
After having our third hot meal in the past few days, we started our return journey. The navigation showed that it would take 25 hours to cover 2,500 kilometers. We expected to get home in 35 hours, and it did take us 35 hours to get home.
After I got home and thought about it, I realized that this was really a very risky self-driving trip. Although the three people in the car were all drivers, my mother had never driven on the expressway. It was true that my mother was not allowed to touch the steering wheel during this 5,700-kilometer round trip. My dad and I have only been driving for a short time, only 4 to 6 years. Before this, the longest we had driven was less than 300 kilometers, not to mention that the total mileage of the car in 6 years was only 22,000 kilometers. This self-driving trip It’s equivalent to the previous year’s mileage.
In addition to not having rich driving experience, we also did not check the car in advance and check the road conditions. Although we knew to take the expressway and national highway, the winding national highway with an altitude of nearly 4,000 meters made it difficult for our car to drive. The gearbox even slipped out of gear halfway. , I almost thought I would never come back.
In addition to the car, our time was also very tight. We set off at 7 o'clock on the night of the 2nd and arrived home at 7 o'clock on the morning of the 7th. We only had two days to actually play in the scenic area. When converted into hours, we only spent less than 8 hours. I have been driving and rushing. If time permits, 10 days will be more comfortable.
If you ask me how to evaluate this Qinggan trip, I will only say one thing, if I still have the chance, I will definitely do another Qinggan self-driving trip!
