Bangkok,Bangkok

During the winter vacation of 2019, my friends and I went to Thailand. We arrived in Bangkok around 10 a.m. and when we got off the plane, the first thing we did was take off our clothes because Thailand is so hot! ! ! After sorting everything out, we were ready to head to the hotel. There were many taxis outside the airport. My friend hailed a taxi on the side of the road. He opened the map and showed the driver the location of the hotel. He quoted the domestic Didi price. The driver thought the price was OK. Then he got off the bus and helped us carry our luggage.

I can never forget the way the driver appeared in front of me. He was wearing a pair of light blue jeans, but the pants were not worn properly and half of his buttocks was exposed. He naturally lifted his pants up in front of us, zipped them up quickly, and then opened the trunk to help us move. Get your luggage on board. Three friends and I squeezed into the back seat and observed the environment inside the car. The car could barely drive, but it felt like it might break down at any time.

After communicating with the driver, we found that he could only understand Thai and a few simple English words. The key point was that the driver did not understand where our hotel was. At that time, the car was already on the road and had to be stopped. My three friends and I had to open Google Maps, Baidu Maps and Amap respectively to try to navigate the driver. Fortunately, the driver understood right and left, so after we chatted through body language and onomatopoeia for 10 minutes, the driver suddenly made a left turn and entered the gas station.

A few seconds after the car was filled with gas, a "BONG" sound was heard from the left and right sides of the trunk. It really shocked us. While the driver went to the restroom, the three of us quickly discussed solutions. We decided to call the hotel staff and ask him to communicate with the driver. Finally, the driver finally knew the location of the hotel and said OK with a smile. The driver was very interesting. While driving, he turned around and said "xiu~xiu~" and gestured to turn left and right, trying to convey to us the message "we will arrive at the hotel soon".

After arriving at the hotel, since I had no change, my friend gave the driver 1,000 baht in change. The driver gave us a wad of change and quickly got in the car. He used inertia to drift around the corners on the narrow road. His car was very fast. I only saw his old trunk and license plate. If you know who he is, please follow him. He said that he had lost dozens of baht.

Where to have lunch on your first day in Bangkok

The breakfast we had the next day was very small and tasted a bit sweet.

Bangkok, Bangkok → Pattaya, Pattaya

Pattaya is blue, the houses are low and low, and people on the streets are wearing short-sleeved shorts and flip-flops.

The sunshine in Pattaya is very bright and hot. Unlike the sweltering heat in Bangkok, the heat accompanied by the sea breeze is refreshing.

Eating seafood is indispensable at the beach

On the second night in Pattaya, we went to eat the long-awaited seafood buffet. Although the seafood was fresh, the dipping sauce was not to our taste. We were full after not eating much, and then rushed to the next trip - visiting the night market. I was not very lucky that day. I couldn't find it in the night market, so I had to go back home.

Just then we encountered an irritable and arrogant husband-and-wife tutu driver. Taking advantage of the large crowd, they rushed us out of the car before we reached our destination. When faced with our doubts, they said backhandedly: "I thought we were taking a taxi." ?” (Thai English)

The matter didn't end here. After being kicked out of the car, we got on another tutu car. The Thai driver asked us where we were going in fluent Mandarin. We immediately lowered our guard, but in the end he lied. We paid tens of baht.

Although there were many situations that night, I think it was a kind of gain. After all, people need to experience more and think more.

The dogs in the neighborhood that was cheated twice in a row were also particularly vicious.

As expected of Pattaya, it was really interesting. On the morning of the third day in Pattaya, we went to Koh Klang Island. After taking the speedboat back to Pattaya from Grand Island in the afternoon, I was going to take a Grab taxi back to the hotel to pick up my luggage.
At this time I met the third interesting Pattaya driver. The following is the content of our conversation.
Driver: I'll be there soon. (grab has the function of converting Thai directly into Chinese, and the driver is Thai)
Me: OK
Driver: I'll be there in about 10 minutes.
Me: OK, I am waiting for you
Driver: I can’t come, there’s a mafia here
I:?
Driver: I will get hurt
Me: OK, I cancel the order

Bangkok, back to Bangkok

After returning to Bangkok from Pattaya to meet up with friends from Guangzhou, we went to Ratchada Train Night Market for a late-night snack.

We took a grab car. When we met, the first thing the driver said to us was: "Hurry up and get in the car, there is no parking here!" (Mandarin) My friend and I quickly ran over to open the door, get in the car and close the door. Completed in one go, less than a minute. Seeing this, some friends may be confused as to why the driver knows that we are Chinese, because my grab nickname is my Chinese name.

The driver can speak Mandarin, which means we will have barrier-free communication. The following is the driver's show time: He is 75 years old this year, but he looks like he is in his 50s. He has a small braid and is very tall, estimated to be over 180cm. He studied in primary school in Hong Kong, and then immigrated to Thailand with his family. He worked as a tour guide for more than 30 years. He retired a few years ago and when he was bored, he went out to grab a car. I can speak Cantonese, English, Thai, and Mandarin quite fluently.

After about half an hour, we arrived at the night market. During this period, because our positioning was not accurate, the actual distance was further than the positioning distance. Although the driver complained that if it were not for us, he would have returned home long ago. But we told him to make up the difference and he didn’t take it. Finally, of course, five-star praise is indispensable.

The antique store I went to the next day was boring and I don’t recommend it to everyone.

The Thai Tiger Hall milk tea at Siam Center in Bangkok is very delicious, and you can take the milk tea in the "mouth" of the tiger. I didn’t take any pictures at that time, picture source network

Evening chat time

Bangkok, Bangkok → Hua Hin, Hua Hin

In Thailand, of course, you can’t miss a horse-drawn chicken meal. The first time I had a foot massage in Bangkok, my friends didn’t think it was satisfying enough. When I was in Hua Hin, I simply bought two horse-drawn chicken set meals, and each of them had a foot massage. More than an hour of Thai-style full-body massage, the process can be described as painful and happy. Hua Hin is really small. If you take a taxi with Grab, you can meet the same driver twice.

Our happy time

In the end, finally

I read the news a few days ago and learned that Thailand will implement a comprehensive curfew on April 3 to curb the spread of COVID-19. Thailand, which used to be more and more exciting as the night went on, is now prohibited from going out during the curfew, and police patrolling with guns can be seen everywhere on the streets . The novel coronavirus pneumonia is spreading around the world. We hope that people all over the world will work together to overcome the difficulties as soon as possible. Friends, take care of yourself and look forward to seeing you again in the future.
