Day14 Reykjavik-Copenhagen
In the air as we were about to arrive in Copenhagen, we finally saw the long-lost sunshine and no longer lived in darkness.
Just after being closed for Christmas, everything is closed again for the New Year holiday. Well, this New Year 2016 will be memorable!
It’s really a whole family closed down for the holidays.
When the shops are closed, we have learned to shiver in the cold wind and look at the display windows. I ate at an ice cream shop that started in 1953, and the coffee tasted great.
When you really have nowhere to go, go to an amusement park a few hours in advance to wait for the fireworks show. It is said that this is also the source of inspiration for the founder of Disney. It is also one of the oldest amusement parks in the world. The Tivoli Amusement Park was built in 1843. The name written upside down is "I Lov( e)it”.
The amusement park in the city center has a small but beautiful scenery. Although there were not many people on the road when strolling around in the afternoon, on this New Year's Eve, it was rare to see dense crowds.
There are also many Chinese elements in the park, which feels like visiting a temple fair.
When the fireworks bloom, cheers rise from each other, and the New Year has arrived.
Day15 Copenhagen
Free City is a city within a city in Goha, a self-declared autonomous small area and an anarchist commune. The buildings inside are old and dilapidated, and the graffiti is free and unrestrained, which is quite different from the overall tone of Copenhagen. Marijuana is said to be “semi-legal” here.
Photography is prohibited in some places, so we visited them very carefully. When I see people wearing masks dealing marijuana, the scene of a gunfight comes to mind involuntarily.
Freedom is sometimes a two-way word. When a lot of content is free, perhaps the wings of art can spread infinitely, but there are also many aspects that cannot be controlled.
We experienced Amsterdam on Sunday, Iceland on Christmas, Copenhagen on New Year's Day, and Hamburg on the upcoming Sunday. They were all empty cities for a whole day, empty and devoid of life and content, so our impression of this place is really... Very difficult to set up.
The desolation everywhere echoes the gray sky.
I can only entertain myself and spend time walking.
I watched "Interstellar" again at the B&B in the evening, revisiting the scenery of Iceland and the Murphy's Law mentioned in the play:
1. Nothing is as simple as it seems;
2. The development process of everything will take longer than you expect;
3. Things that can go wrong will always go wrong;
4. If you are worried about something happening, it is more likely to happen.
Good night, all I can think about is the large glass balcony in Northern Europe lingering in my dreams.
Day16 Copenhagen-Hamburg
It’s a good day
Say goodbye to Copenhagen, I have been here before, and during the New Year, I didn’t see a single store open except McDonald’s and 7-11.
Going to Hamburg from Copenhagen, I realized that a train can also be hidden in the belly of a ship, which is a bit unimaginable. It took us across the sea with the train, and then arrived in Germany from Denmark.
Someone got seasick again. The children were playing very high on the rocking boat. They were already unstable and the rocking rhythm of the boat made it feel like a drunken fistfight.
A magical toilet seen on the roadside.
After arriving in Hamburg, you first go to the youth hostel to check in. Filling out the information is like a collective open-book exam.
Wandering outside at night, I finally saw a bright and open shop.
The older I get, the bolder I get, and the younger I get, the more imaginative I am. I no longer dare to watch horror movies, ride roller coasters, or enter haunted houses. Now when I go to see a red light district, I am so scared that I am sweating all over. I feel inexplicably nervous when I see a black man, and I hold my phone tightly when I see a burly man.
Reeperbahn at night.
Day17 Burger
Hamburg felt colder than Iceland, so I took a quick look at Hamburg Fish Market before closing the stalls. A large number of seagulls were eating scattered salmon, and the flower market had already closed its stalls.
Walking along the seaside, I saw various houses with wild graffiti and colorful sweaters covering the railings.
I accidentally walked to the Window Street in the Red Light District that I missed last night. It is a mysterious tunnel that only men can enter, but there was nothing in it during the day.
It was minus 5 degrees Celsius in Hamburg, but according to the mobile phone, the body surface temperature was minus 15 degrees Celsius. I wanted to go to the Blanknese mountaintop seaside villa area, but I was blown away as soon as I got off the subway and gave up after walking for a while. It seems that I really don’t like traveling in extremely cold temperatures.
Hamburg, it turned out that the streets were not full of hamburgers as I imagined, nor did I see the legendary bridges that are five times more than those in Venice. A city with few memorable points, perhaps because it was too cold at the time.
Day18 Hamburg-Frankfurt
The best tool to pass the long distance. If you forget to bring mahjong, you can only play poker. Returning to Frankfurt is the beginning and the end.
Winter is really not a good time to go north, whether it’s the north of Iceland or the north of Germany. The snow along the way is getting heavier and heavier, and the temperature is getting lower and lower.
Eat some Chinese food to rejuvenate yourself. A bowl of Lanzhou Ramen costs nearly 100 yuan.
On the last day in Frankfurt, everyone stopped visiting the attractions and entered into the rhythm of shopping. For me, a skin care idiot, it’s just right to follow everyone else’s lead and buy it.
It took me more than 40 euros and an hour to arrive at the outlet near Frankfurt. Eight people were divided into four groups and started a new round of shopping. I always fell into Nike first.
I returned to the city in the evening and went to a drugstore again. I accidentally bought a bunch of hyaluronic acid for my friends, and finally had to find a box to put it in. It’s really fearless to be ignorant. I have experienced the hardships of buying a dog on behalf of others. Europe is very easy to travel on foot. It doesn’t feel far when you hike without luggage, but you can’t get there even if you have luggage.
There is also a collection store that we like very much. We named it Big UR ourselves.
The eight-member team was about to leave. They packed their luggage in their rooms and took another group photo in their pajamas.
Looking at other people's beds and our beds, Dachen said that when women get older, they will need to spend a lot of money on bags. I told my third sister-in-law that we were still young and just bought shoes, which were much cheaper.
How to stuff things neatly and orderly into boxes is one of Sister-in-law's strengths.
Day21 Frankfurt-Shanghai
The last day was spent shopping in the city while dragging my luggage.
Boss Hua bought this leather jacket. Anyway, I haven’t seen him wear it since I returned to Guangzhou. Travel is the devil of impulse shopping.
Eight people dragged their bags to the airport together and flew to their respective cities.
What followed was a long flight of more than 20 hours, where I could only sit and be fed. The two of us, my third sister-in-law, looked back on everything that had happened in the past 20 days, as if we had realized a daydream but it was extremely real. I wanted to go to Iceland many years ago, but now I have realized it by driving with a group of people. It seems to have been a long wait, but it also seems to be very fast.
As for the situation in Moscow airport where people are drinking more and smoking less, the third sister-in-law said that it is probably because Moscow is also very cold in summer and I can’t smoke because my hands are cold, so I drink more to warm up.
After more than 20 hours, we finally returned to the embrace of Shanghai. In 21 days, we stayed in 10 unique rooms in 7 cities. They are also our mobile homes during the journey. We look forward to visiting the green summer Iceland together again.
