Day 6 Daocheng Yading
Aden Scenic Area
I know this place from "Passing Through Your World", a movie . This attraction really cast a huge shadow on me, but there is still something positive about it.
First of all, let’s talk about a big premise. If you have enough time, you must squat in good weather before going up the mountain! Otherwise, bring your own raincoat and waterproof shoe covers. The hike can be quite difficult.
The weather was not good at that time, so the scenery we saw on a rainy day was like this.
Then I will list a few crimes in detail:
1. It takes nearly an hour to take the scenic bus from the scenic spot to the tourist gathering point. My head feels dizzy and a guy in the back row vomits directly.
2. The facilities in the scenic area are not perfect. It rained on the way and there was no place to take shelter from the rain. At least the rest points were too far apart. It was difficult to see a house, but the door was locked and no one was allowed to enter. We were exposed to wind and rain and brought our own quick-heat meals.
Okay, now that I’m done complaining, let’s talk about something good. It’s been a long time since I’ve hiked with such a heavy load. The difficult process will make people’s memories of that time more profound. It reminds me of the experience of hiking on the bottom of the boat for three days and two nights without seeing any human beings.
The occasional clearing will make me cherish and shocked even more.
Take a breath of fresh air at Luorong Cattle Farm. This is also the place where Mao Shiba proposed in the movie You Passed By.
There are three major sacred mountains in Aden Scenic Area, Xiannairi, Shanuoduoji and Yangmaiyong.
One of them can only be seen at the Pearl Sea, but the long-term round-trip hike we chose took nearly 7 hours, so due to time and weather reasons, we did not go to the short-term Pearl Sea.
Climbing from an altitude of 4,200 meters to 4,500 meters is to see the Five Color Sea and the Milk Sea. We were in Wusehai at that time, and it was really miserable for us. It was raining heavily, and even though we were wearing raincoats, we had no place to take shelter from the rain. We first looked for big rocks and found that shelter from the rain didn't work, so we found another half person. I went to hide in a tall bush, looking very embarrassed. When the weather cleared up a bit, I quickly took two pictures at the Five Colored Sea, as follows:
Milk Sea is not far from Five Color Sea, it only takes more than 10 minutes to walk. It was sunny and rainy along the way, and I put on my raincoat and took it off again. However, the spirit of optimism sustained him throughout the walk, and the theme song "Waiting for Me at the End" sung by Faye Wong for the movie was played on his mobile phone. It also has a different taste.
Milk sea is as follows
Look into the distance from time to time
After we got down the mountain, it was probably after 6 pm. The bus was so motion-sick, the height was high, and the wind and rain made us really have a splitting headache. Later, I went back to the hotel, took painkillers and rested for more than half an hour, and finally recovered.
I also found that regular running exercise was somewhat useful, because I had nothing to do the next day. A fellow graduate student complained of pain all over his body the next day because he lacked exercise.
Day 7 Daocheng-Litang-Mangkang
Because Daocheng is going to the south, so after visiting Aden, we returned and walked the road to Daocheng back to Litang and set off for Mangkang.
On the way, we visited Haizi Mountain and passed through Maoya Prairie. Unfortunately, the weather was still not favorable, so we didn’t stop at Sister Lake.
As we finally approach Tibet, we overlook the majestic Jinsha River and drive into Mangkang, the first stop in Tibet. When I finally arrived in Tibet, I had very mixed emotions. After something is finally done, it seems that there will be a lot less sustenance and a bit sad. It seems that the solution is to give yourself new sustenance and expectations. Then I want to go surfing and diving next time, or ride a motorcycle and drive a certain distance.
Overnight in Mangkang.
Day 8 Mangkang-Zogong-Bangda-Basu
Morning in Mangkang
We set out early in the morning to climb Jueba Mountain, which is located in the basin of the Three Rivers (Jinsha River, Lancang River, and Nu River) in the Hengduan Mountains. This is one of the most difficult mountains to climb in 318 because the mountain is high and there is no shelter. Also watch out for falling rocks, etc.
A paradise village at the foot of Jueba Mountain.
After browsing Dongda Mountain, how could I have imagined that the mountain is already covered with snow.
On the way, I met a young father who was riding with his five-year-old son. He had been riding from Chengdu for more than 40 days. We gave him a bottle of Red Bull and a tangerine to cheer them up. We thought this was a good way. He has seen the world since he was a child, and his heart has broadened. And this is on 318. I have experienced hardships along the way and tempered my character. I think it is still very beneficial.
The father's big bicycle was carrying the child's small bicycle, and the child seemed to be pedaling quite hard.
Then it was time to climb mountains again, over Mount Yela
There are also travelers riding motorcycles.
Unexpectedly, the first time G318 encountered a traffic jam was at the 72nd Turn of the Nu River.
It seems that the road is broken, and the armed police are blocking the road to repair it. But there was no rush, several people who were well prepared immediately took a small bench and sat on it.
A closer look at the Nu River.
Staying overnight at Basu, we washed our clothes together and hung them to dry on the rooftop. We also met two aunties who were traveling by car and exchanged greetings. They also bought groceries all the way to the B&B and cooked their own meals, which felt very good.
After entering Tibet, the sky was really clear, and I saw the Big Dipper with my naked eyes for the first time at night, which was a pleasant surprise. It's a pity that the mobile phone cannot take pictures.
Day 9 Ranwu Lake-Midui Glacier
Ranwu Lake
Before departure, I took a look at Ranwu Lake at Station B and thought it was so beautiful. However, what I actually saw was really average. It was only a 2A scenic spot. Maybe the weather that day was not the best.
Most of the scenic spots in Sichuan, Tibet, Gansu and Qinghai require very good weather to see the perfect weather.
There are still many restaurants along the way with banners posted by self-driving and traveling friends, and many people have written down their wishes. I also wrote down my thoughts at one of them. I don’t know if I will have the chance to see it again.
Midui Glacier
The glacier I saw this time was relatively complete, and this is a 4A scenic spot.
It also took about half an hour of hiking. We tasted sweet tea, butter tea, highland barley cakes, roasted yak meat, and tsampa at the foot of the mountain. Although we were given free refills of butter tea, we were not used to it and we didn’t even finish one cup. The only thing that tastes good is the grilled yak meat.
To be honest, I have seen enough of Glacier on this trip.
Overnight in Bomi.
to be continued.
