On the second day of our Yunnan tour, we went to Jiuxiang.
It takes about two hours to drive from Kunming to Jiuxiang
I got up at six in the morning, packed up the hotel and had breakfast. I left the hotel for Jiuxiang at about 7:30, and arrived at the entrance of the scenic spot at 9:30. It takes almost two hours to drive from Kunming to Jiuxiang.
Jiuxiang Scenic Area, admission fee + cableway ticket is 120 yuan. The main attractions include Yincui Gorge, which can be visited by boat; inside the cave, you can see the magnificent landscape formed by karst landforms; and on the cableway, you can see the natural scenery outside Jiuxiang.
Boat trip to Yincui Gorge
Included in the ticket fee, the first attraction to enter the scenic spot is to go to Yincui Gorge, take the scenic elevator, go to the boating area, queue up, put on a life jacket, get on the motor boat, and start the tour.
The water in Yincui Gorge is yellow, probably due to the season. The mountains on both sides also have the characteristics of karst landforms. After a long period of water flow and precipitation, various strange landscapes also appear on the rock walls.
There is also a pavilion on the mountain next to it. I don’t know when it was built. The road has been covered with weeds and moss, and no one probably goes up there anymore. It's a bit cold in the canyon this season. It will be very comfortable if you come in summer.
Visit inside the cave and marvel at the uncanny craftsmanship of nature.
After taking a boat tour of Yincui Gorge, we officially started to enter the cave. The magnificent landscape formed by karst landforms looks particularly gorgeous and spectacular under the colorful lights.
In the cave, we saw the natural landscapes formed by nature's miraculous craftsmanship, such as a line of sky, a hunchbacked old man, a lion, etc. There is also the largest square underground, which can accommodate more than 10,000 people. It is also the filming location of the movie "Myth".
A line of sky. Taken with a mobile phone, at first glance it looks like a fish jumping out of the water, what do you think? Are the eyes and tail clearly visible?
The hunchbacked old man . From this side, does it look like a hunchbacked old man walking? Yes, but you know what? Going around the other side of the mountain, looking at the same stone, it turned into a lion.
A lion. It was the same stone upstairs, but at a different angle, it changed from a hunchbacked old man to a squatting lion, as if waiting outside the hall to protect this underground square.
The location where "Myth" was filmed . This is also formed naturally and is not artificially processed. Isn't it amazing that the square, which can accommodate more than 10,000 people, was formed naturally without any pillars in the middle to support it. At the same time, this is also the location where the movie "Myth" was filmed.
In addition to the above special attractions, there are also more good attractions, such as Kanda, stalactites, etc. You will be amazed by the magic of nature.
Kanda. The stones are formed like terraces, and there is water inside. You can see that the water is still very clear, but it is relatively small. Otherwise, you can still take a bath in it, right? hey-hey.
Stalactites. The upside-down stalactites, decorated with lights, are full of life. You can touch it with your hands and feel it with your heart. The stone is cold and cold. What has it experienced in the long history? To meet you in such a beautiful and spectacular manner.
Go down all the way through the cave and finally climb up again. We saw the magnificent landscape of karst landforms, stalactites, stone damage, male lions, a hunchbacked old man, etc.
I also experienced the filming location of the movies "The Myth" and "The Little Soldier". I think if I watch this movie again, I will have a different feeling.
The ropeway is open-air, so those who are afraid of heights should proceed with caution.
After visiting the cave, we took the ropeway down the mountain. The ropeway is an inverted parabola. Go up first, then go down after reaching the highest point. There are two photo-taking places in the middle. The camera can capture you. There is a photo-taking place on the left after getting off the ropeway. 30 for a set of two, and there is an additional charge of 10 yuan for plastic processing. We spent 50 yuan.
The scenery on the ropeway is pretty good. The mountains are full of lush trees and there must be a lot of negative oxygen ions.
When we were riding, we encountered that the ropeway was a bit incoherent, with occasional pauses in the middle, which was quite scary.
Eat hand-picked rice and visit the Yi ancient town.
After visiting Jiuxiang, we were ready to have lunch. Today's lunch is a special ethnic meal - hand-picked rice.
Eat with your hands . A big dustpan with rice in the middle, including purple glutinous rice, millet, and ordinary rice. Surrounded by various dishes, there are fish, roast duck, fried steamed buns, fried enoki mushrooms, chicken, fungus, pineapple rice, etc. There are also two dipping sauces.
Wearing disposable gloves, use your hands to mash the rice balls into a ball to hold the vegetables together. Then eat with dipping sauce. After trying it a few times, something seems to be wrong? I couldn't get the rice ball to form into a ball, so I finally gave up and just used chopsticks.
Life is an experience, experience national customs, if you are not used to it, just respect it, but don't laugh at it.
After lunch, we drove to Chuxiong and checked into a hot spring hotel. The hot spring in this hot spring hotel is an artificial hot spring on the roof.
In the evening we made our own arrangements to eat and hang out.
We went to a mosque recommended by the tour guide for dinner. The food was pretty good. In the evening, we also went to the Yi Ancient Town for a walk.
Mosque meals. Personally, I think the beef is super delicious, and of course the other dishes are also good. Many friends said that they were not full after eating hand-made rice at noon, but finally felt full at night.
Yi ancient town . Like most ancient towns, it is basically a commercial thing. They sell various snacks and trinkets, and there are people dancing Guozhuang Dance at the door. If you are interested, you can join in.
After visiting the ancient town, we went back to the hotel to wash up and rest. Today's trip has come to an end. Overall, it was quite easy and we didn't encounter any traffic jams. I'm quite lucky.
