I don’t know when everyone started talking about going to Taiwan for their graduation trip.
(Maybe it’s because when I first came to Beijing, I was always spoken to with a Taiwanese accent 😂

So after finishing the defense, I set off with my friends.
We booked air tickets with Air Macau in April, 1k4 round trip from Beijing to Taipei. We had to transfer, so it was cheaper. (It was my first time to spend the night at the airport...it felt very cold.) When we flew to Taipei, we were unable to land due to heavy rain, so we transferred to Kaohsiung. One lap... Finally, after all the twists and turns, we landed in Taipei City.
The airbnb I booked is in Ximending. The transportation is very convenient. You can just go downstairs and start shopping!

Taipei-Hualien
It takes about three hours to take the Taiwan Railway from Taipei to Hualien. After all, it is still a subtropical region. The scenery along the way is similar to that of Guangxi. There is a section of scenery along the coastline that is not bad.
Next comes the highlight of the entire trip - going out to sea to watch whales.
Tour boats of all sizes are approaching the dolphins. I don’t know if people are watching whales and dolphins or they are watching us?

The Taiwan that only exists in textbooks, the Taiwan that only appears in those classic Taiwanese dramas in my memory, the Taiwan that only appears in "Cross the Strait"...
After a trip, I met many very enthusiastic Taiwanese people.
When asking for directions, they will even lead you to where you are looking.
I have also met many people who call themselves “country” and “citizens”.
We also see their so-called "democracy",
Probably there are promotional photos of congressmen on every taxi on every street.
They don’t know yet that the mainland has already made a lot of progress.
Taipei City is really not as developed as Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
We also don’t know about their strict supervision of food safety.
Eating in Taiwan is really reassuring.
In fact, neither side of the Taiwan Strait really understands each other, and there are many misunderstandings.
I just hope that one day, Taiwan will return in a real sense and there will no longer be so many misunderstandings.
