I always remember the first time I went to Guizhou. In April 2017, early in the morning, I took a bus from Bijie Jinsha County to Qianxi County.

The taxi took me through the streets and alleys of this small county.
The low old buildings on the street have been washed into a dilapidated dark color over time, and the words on the huge billboards standing on the roadside seem to have an outdated atmosphere that has been set back 30 years.
The old city is down and out, densely populated, with all kinds of passers-by carrying burdens or walking on the streets, and the whole city has a strong urban atmosphere.
The balconies of residential buildings are piled with daily necessities, clothes are dried to dry, and withered plants are placed. The old man puts the baby in a bamboo stroller and walks around in the flying dust of the passing car.
