Introduction to the Preparatory School for Chinese Students Studying in Japan: The Preparatory School for Chinese Students Studying in Japan directly under the Ministry of Education (also known as the Training Department for Study Abroad Personnel of the Ministry of Education) was established in 1979 in accordance with the educational exchange agreement between the Chinese and Japanese governments. Founded in March at Northeast Normal University, it is the only specialized school in my country jointly run by the governments of China and Japan that provides short-term intensive Japanese language education for all levels and types of preparatory students to study in Japan; it is an important step in the normalization of diplomatic relations between China and Japan. Later, it became the largest educational exchange and cooperation project between the two governments; at the same time, it was designated by the country as an English training base for various visiting scholars from Northeast China to English-speaking countries and regions.
