Introduction to the palace gate: On both sides of the main entrance (gongmen) of the guild hall, there are a pair of stone lions squatting with angry teeth. Above the lintel hangs a brick-carved plaque in the shape of an ancient architectural edict. The bead relief surrounds the three large vermilion characters of "Tianhou Palace", the plaque is inlaid with many exquisite brick carvings, and the signboard of "Eastern Zhejiang Maritime Folk Museum" hangs on the left side of the gate.
