Introduction to Whakarewarewa Geothermal Reserve: Whakarewarewa Thermal Area is a collection of hot spring wonders. Inside the scenic area is New Zealand's largest geyser Pohutu ( Pohutu), the spring water spurts up to 30 meters, usually 20 times a day, and the sky-high water column pours out, which is a spectacle and is the best landmark of Rotorua. There is also a typical Maori village here, and there is a traditional Maori song and dance performance in the assembly hall at noon. Next to the village is the Maori Arts and Crafts Association, which displays and sells Maori textiles and carvings.
