Introduction to the Shambhala Tourism and Art Festival: The Shambhala Tourism and Art Festival originates from the annual Xianglang Festival of the Tibetan people, that is, the Langshan Festival. "Xianglang" in Tibetan means gathering firewood. It is said that in the past, the monks of the temple went out to collect firewood by themselves in the midsummer season. Since they could not return on the same day due to the long journey, they chose to camp near mountains and rivers for several days at most. Later it evolved into a mass picnic activity.
The current Shambhala Tourism Art Festival is the largest comprehensive tourism festival in Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. It is held in various counties in midsummer every year, and the main venue is located in the beautiful local grassland.
