Scenic spot introduction:
The Smoke Tree at Jimen is one of the eight scenic spots in Yanjing. It refers to the western section of the ruins of the Yuan Dadu city wall north of Xizhimen. This section of the city wall was constructed of rammed earth. After the Ming army captured Dadu at the end of the Yuan Dynasty, the northern city wall of Yuan Dadu was moved 5 miles south. Later, the section of the city wall pointed to by Jimen Yanshu was abandoned, and trees grew on the site of the rammed earth city wall, so it was called Jimen Yanshu. Jimen Yanshu is said to be the site of ancient Jizhou, also called Jiqiu, commonly known as Tucheng. It is the former site of Liaocheng and Yuancheng. It was renovated by the Beijing Municipal Garden Bureau in 1985. With the stone tablet as the center, pavilions and city walls were built. , planted trees and greened it, and named it "Jimen Park".Attractions distribution:
The park area of Jimen Yanshu is centered on the park square. The main attractions include the relief screen wall, the gate of Yuan Dadu city wall ruins, the stele corridor, Fengya Changcun, etc. Pass through the Moon Gate and climb the city wall to view the Jimen Yanshu stele and The white marble Buddha statue can be seen along the bluestone walk on the rammed earth city wall. You can see the smoke trees and bamboo forests on both sides.
