The museum is located at the southern end of Caoyun Square, with a construction area of ​​6,300 square meters. The main building is two stories high and consists of a special exhibition area for water transportation and an exhibition area for Chuzhou fine cultural relics. It is divided into a preface hall, a history hall, a canal hall, a Huai'an hall, a vision hall and a cultural relics hall. It displays ancient water transportation tools and ancillary legacy items. Work and daily necessities in the governor's palace include letters, notes, ink and daily necessities from former water transport governors and other water transport officials, as well as records, securities, measuring tools, and substitutes related to the circulation of grain in the past dynasties.
