The Space Needle is a major landmark in the Pacific Northwest of the United States, located in the downtown area of Seattle, Washington. It was built for the 1962 World's Fair, when about 20,000 people used the elevator to climb the tower every day. The Space Needle is 184 meters (610 feet) high, 42 meters (138 feet) wide at its widest point, and weighs 9,550 tons. It can withstand winds of 320 kilometers per hour and earthquakes of magnitude 9.1, and has 25 lightning rods to resist electric shocks.

Attraction Tickets

Space Needle Ticket Prices:

Tickets are $14 for adults, $7 for children aged 4 to 13, and $12 for those 65 and older. Tickets to the tower are $99 year-round.

It is free to go up to the "Sky City" restaurant on the tower, but the restaurant has a minimum consumption of US$25 at lunch time and US$30 at dinner time (minimum consumption per person, which can be offset against the ticket fee for the elevator).

Sunday to Thursday: 09:00-23:00; Friday and Saturday: 09:00 am to midnight.
