Daegu is the capital of North Gyeongsang Province in southeastern South Korea. It is located in the mountain basin along the Geumho River, a tributary of the middle reaches of the Nakdong River. It was formerly known as Dalseong. It is the third largest city in South Korea and a very fashionable city.

Aircraft: Daegu Airport has regular civil aviation flights with Seoul, Busan, Gwangju, Jinju, and Pohang, and has opened international flights to Beijing, Shanghai, Shenyang, Qingdao, and other places in China.

Train: Among the train stations on the Gyeongbu Line that runs between Seoul and Busan, the ones closest to Daegu include Daegu Railway Station, Dongdaegu Railway Station and Gyeongsan Railway Station. Daegu Train Station is located in Jung-gu, close to the city center.
