Dali Xiangyun Shuimushan Cultural Tourism Area is the world's first descendant-style relic pagoda forest sacred site, the monastery of the ninth generation founder of Zen Buddhism in Chinese Buddhism, the excavation and burial place of Buddhist sacred relics, and the royal temple of Nanzhao Kingdom and Dali Kingdom. As one of the earliest Buddhist holy sites in China, the Buddhist history and cultural heritage of Shuimu Mountain are irreplaceable and unique. It has outstanding characteristics in the world of Buddhism and plays an important role in the history of Chinese Buddhism. Looking at Shuimu Mountain from a distance, temples, nunneries and pavilions are scattered throughout the mountain. The interior of the temple is uniquely carved and painted. The surrounding mountains are lush with trees and the scenery is beautiful. Being there, it feels like a paradise in the world, which is intoxicating.

Shuimushan Cultural Tourism Area is located in the southwest of Xiangyun County, 56 kilometers away from Dali Prefecture. There are currently three temples, Shuimu Temple, Puxian Temple and Baohua Temple, which worship the Thousand-Armed Avalokitesvara and the three Burmese Jade Buddhas. In the Beigang Pagoda Forest to the north of Shuimu Temple, there are more than 70 tomb towers of monks from past dynasties. The unearthed relics are still enshrined in the underground palace of the Pagoda Forest. There are also attractions such as Incense Street, Temple Pagoda, and Marriage Square.
