Dali Zhangjia Garden is synonymous with "surprise, magic and excitement". It is called "Yunnan's No. 1 Garden" and "Dream Bai Folk Residence" by everyone who has visited. This Bai folk residential building is surrounded by camellias, azaleas and the Mother Lake of Erhai, which is poured by eighteen streams. It is backed by the flowers, gentians and high river vegetables of Cangshan Mountain. "Lu Garden" is the fourth private garden after the three historical private gardens in Dali. The exquisitely pleasant garden, the carrier of thousands of years of culture, as well as the "old fragrance" of Tang Dynasty, Song Dynasty and Pu'er tea, make Zhangjia Garden unique. Zhangjia Garden is located in the north of Qiliqiao Guanyin Pond, with a construction area of 4,700 square meters and 36 most distinctive guest rooms. There are six courtyards in the garden: Caiyunnan Courtyard, Begonia Chunyu, Luhe Tongchun, Xiyanghong Courtyard, Ruijie Sanfang, and Sihe Huifeng. Eight famous Dali teas are planted in the garden from October every year to March of the following year. Flowers are blooming constantly; the back garden also has the red Eighteen Scholars, Flower Eighteen Scholars and Yunnan camellia "Zhangjia Tea" described in "The Eight Parts of the Dragon". The Cangshan stream passes through the garden, creating a back garden and a water stage. There is a Baiyun Café in the park where you can sip coffee and watch the magnificent Cang'er Lake. There is also a pavilion in the sky where you can drink Pu'er tea and watch the clouds in the sky. Guide to traditional activities: Guanyin Temple Fair is held every year on February 19th of the lunar calendar, Guanyin Meeting on June 19th, and Guanyin Meeting on September 19th. Thousands of people attend the event, which is unprecedentedly grand. On the Ancient Tea Horse Road in front of Zhangjia Garden, along the Guanyin Pond to Gantong At the gate of the temple, the faithful men and women chanted sutras and had a picnic. There were authentic folk songs, dances and antiphonal songs, which are folk customs that are still popular in the Dali Kingdom of Nanzhao.

How to get there:
Bus route: Just get off at Guanyintang on Route 4 and Three Pagodas Line. From other provinces and cities, take train, plane, or long-distance bus to Dali.
Self-driving route: Drive along Renmin North Road in Dali city. For other provinces and cities, take the Hangrui Expressway and leave from the Dali/Xiaguan/Dali Ancient Town/Lijiang exit. At the Yangnan Overpass, head towards 214 National Highway/Dali Driving in the direction of the ancient city, take Renmin North Road to Guanyintang.
