Macheng Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery is a memorial cemetery built to commemorate the "Jute Uprising" and the heroic deeds of the Hubei, Henan, and Anhui revolutionary martyrs. Macheng is a red land. In November 1927, the jute uprising that shocked the whole country broke out here. For more than 20 years after that, the revolutionary fire in Macheng lasted for a long time, and the revolutionary red flag of Macheng never fell. More than 137,000 people died in Macheng. During the war, more than 60,000 outstanding young men joined the Red Army. In the bloody battles, 28 of the first generals of New China were forged, including Wang Shusheng and Chen Zaidao.Macheng Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery is located at No. 75, Lingyuan Road, Macheng City. It covers an area of 114,600 square meters, with a total construction area of 84,600 square meters. The revolutionary martyrs’ memorial building area is 51,570 square meters, and the greening rate reaches more than 80%. The main landmark buildings include the Jute Uprising and the Hubei-Henan-Anhui Soviet Area Revolutionary Martyrs Monument, Martyr Li Shuoxun Memorial Square, "Red China" Music Memorial Square, Macheng Revolutionary Memorial Hall, Wang Shusheng Memorial Hall, General Wang Shusheng's Tomb, Hexagonal Corridor, etc., and the square outside the park. There is a sculpture of Jute Uprising.
