Scenic spot introduction:

France Chateau de Villandry Château de Villandry is the last large castle in the Loire Valley during the Renaissance. Built in 1536, the castle is famous for its beautiful formal gardens. The construction was supervised by the finance minister of Emperor Francis I of France at the time. He served as a diplomatic envoy to Rome for many years and used a lot of Italian garden art in the construction of the castle garden.

Car (240 km): A10 motorway, exit 24 (Tours-les-Tours), then A85 Saumur, exit 8 (Villandry)

Train from Montparnasse (55 minutes), then taxi from Tours or Saint-Pierre des Corps (20 minutes)

Directions to Nantes:

By car: A11, then exit 8 (Villandry) from A85

Take the train to TER (90 minutes), then take a taxi or take the Saint-Pierre-des-Corps tourist bus (20 minutes)
