The Tsurphu Monastery in Lhasa is the main monastery of the Karma Kagyu sect of Tibetan Buddhism in Tibet. It has a history of 800 years and has been passed down to the 17th Karmapa Living Buddha. It is said that this sect first created the system of reincarnation of living Buddhas, and from then on, it opened the precedent of the inheritance of mysticism by Tibetan Buddhist leaders. Tsurphu Monastery is located in the upper reaches of the Tsurphu River, 60 kilometers west of Lhasa.Attractions distribution:
The huge building complex of Chubu Monastery is centered on the main hall and includes the scripture hall, Buddha hall, Dharma protector hall, Buddhist college, Tantric training institute, living Buddha's private residence and monks' quarters. The 15th day of the first month of the Tibetan calendar is the Butter Lantern Festival. Lamas from various temples and folk artists use colorful butter to mold various butter lanterns.
Flowers are hung on the flower stands set up in advance on both sides of the Jokhang Temple. When night falls and the butter lamps are lit, they shine like stars.
There are flowers, gods, people, as well as lifelike birds and animals.

How to get there:
Minibus: There is a minibus in the alley 200 meters south of the flower garden on the west side of Jokhang Temple. It departs at 7:00-8:00 in the morning and the fare is 15 yuan.
The original vehicle returned at 15:00.
Car rental: Rent a jeep in Lhasa, the price is about 200-300 yuan.
