Scenic spot introduction:

The Pantheon was built in 27 BC by the Roman Empire to celebrate the victory of Emperor Augustus. The "Pan" in Pantheon means all, and the "theon" means god, referring to the fact that all Roman gods must be worshipped. A dome was added to it in 120 AD during the reign of Emperor Hadrian the Great. In 608 AD, it was dedicated to the church as a shrine to the Virgin Mary, making it the only building from the Roman Empire that has been completely preserved to date.

Attractions distribution:

The Pantheon was built with harmonious proportions and very precise calculations. Its diameter and height are equal, both about 43 meters. The 16 columns on the front of the building remind people of ancient Greek architecture. The base of the dome is built from half of the total height, and the circular curve of the roof continues to extend downward to form a complete sphere that happens to touch the ground. Since the arches share the weight of the entire building, there is not a single pillar in the hall, which can be called a miracle in architectural history. It shows the profound architectural knowledge and profound calculation methods of the ancient Roman architects, and was praised by Michelangelo as "the design of an angel."
