Attractions distribution:

Milarepa is one of the most legendary masters in the history of Tibetan Buddhism and one of the founders of the Kagyu sect (White Sect). He lost his father at a young age, and his family property was taken over by his uncle. He lived a poor life with his mother and suffered humiliation. In order to avenge his humiliation, he practiced Bon spells and cursed his uncle and more than 30 of his relatives and friends. After the revenge, he felt remorseful, so he converted to Buddhism and became a disciple of the translator Marpa. In order to temper his character, Marpa asked him to build many castles in six consecutive years, and then demolished them one by one. Later, Milarepa practiced hard on the snowy mountain of Gang Rinpoche for another 9 years, drinking ice and snow and eating moss, so that his hair and skin turned green, and finally confirmed the secret methods of "Mahamudra" and "Tumo Ding". "Tumo Ding" can greatly increase the body temperature, so even in winter, he only wears a cloth robe. People call him "Mila Repa", which means the cloth-wearing one in the Mila family. Milarepa never built a temple in his life, but traveled around Qinghai and Tibet to preach. His teaching method was unique, often teaching his disciples by singing, which had an impact on the development of Tibetan poetry in later generations. Milarepa practiced the secret methods of Bon and Red Sects, participated in the creation of White Sect, and his experience of Tantra was later inherited by Yellow Sect, so he was respected by all sects of Tibetan Buddhism.
