Scenic spot introduction:

Danzhou Dongpo Academy is where Su Shi, a great writer of the Northern Song Dynasty, lived and taught when he was exiled to Hainan. It was first built in the Northern Song Dynasty (1098), and was later rebuilt and renamed to its current name in the Ming Dynasty (1549). Like the Wugong Temple, it is an important historical and cultural landscape in Hainan.

Attractions distribution:

Dongpo Academy covers an area of 2,500 square meters. The gate of the academy is magnificent and grand. In the courtyard, there are lush ancient forests and beautiful flowers. Wine Pavilion , Zaijiutang , Qin Shuaiquan , Qin Shuai Hall There is also a statue in the West Garden. Bronze statue of Dongpo wearing hat and sandals , his elegance and grace captivate people's hearts.

How to get there:

Take the Haiqi bus from Haikou West Long-distance Bus Station to Yangpu, get off at the intersection of the highway between Mutang and Zhonghe Town, and transfer to a "motorcycle taxi" or "Fengcai car" at the intersection. The journey is 6 kilometers, passing Zhonghe Town, and drives directly to the gate of the academy.
