Scenic spot introduction:

The Trevi Fountain (Fontana di Trevi) is the most famous of the more than 3,000 fountains in Rome, the "City of Fountains". The fountain is located in the south of the Piazza di Spagna and is named because there are three roads extending outward in front of the fountain (Trevi means three-way road). It is based on the theme of the victorious return of Nyple, the god of the sea in Roman mythology. It is about 25.9 meters high and 19.8 meters wide. It is the largest Baroque fountain in the world and the last Baroque architectural sculpture in Rome.

Attractions distribution:

The Trevi Fountain is located at the source of the Agrippa Aqueduct built in the 15th century. It was first built in the 16th century and was continuously improved by many artists. It was finally completed by Nicola Salvi in 1762. The overall sculpture is about 25.9 meters high and 19.8 meters wide. It is the largest Baroque fountain in the world and the last Baroque architectural sculpture in Rome.
The fountain sculpture is based on the theme of the victorious return of Nyple, the god of the sea in Roman mythology, with the wall of the Duke of Poli's palace as the background. The center of the fountain is Nyple, the god of the sea, and there is a water god on each side of the god of the sea. At the top of the background wall, there are four goddesses each holding a different artifact, symbolizing the four seasons. Designer Nicola Salvi's portrayal of each character is meticulous and admirable, and the entire picture is magnificent and shocking, a rare masterpiece among fountain works.
The Trevi Fountain is famous for its wishing fountain. Legend has it that if a traveler throws a coin into the fountain with his back to it, he or she will be able to return to Rome. As time goes by, the coins pile up in the fountain and are fished out regularly every week as relief funds for the orphanage.
