Scenic spot introduction:

Tianmen Mountain in Zhangjiajie is the highest mountain in Yongding District of Zhangjiajie. It is named after the natural wonder Tianmen Cave. It was the first famous mountain recorded in history and was known as Yunmeng Mountain and Songliang Mountain in ancient times. The top of the mountain is relatively flat and retains complete original secondary forest, with many extremely rare and unique plant species. The forest coverage rate reaches 90%. There are towering old trees, twining vines, moss all over the place, stalagmites and stone buds everywhere, and everything looks like a natural bonsai. It is known as "the most beautiful hanging garden in the world" and "the wonderland of heaven".
In the sixth year of Wu Yong'an in the Three Kingdoms (AD 263), the cliffs of Songliang Mountain suddenly opened up, as bright as a door, forming a rare world wonder - Tianmen Cave. Tianmen Cave runs from north to south. The door is 131.5 meters high and 57 meters wide. It is 60 meters deep and rises from the ground to the sky, just like a portal to the sky. From then on, it was named Tianmen Mountain. Tianmen Mountain is even more beautiful and pleasant despite its high altitude and danger. It has always been a place of admiration for celebrities and eunuchs. It has extremely profound cultural heritage and is the cultural holy land of Zhangjiajie. It is revered as the "soul of Zhangjiajie" and has the "No. 1 Sacred Mountain in Western Hunan" reputation.

How to get there:

Take bus No. 6 or 5 from the train station, the fare is 1 yuan, and you can reach the Tianmen Mountain Cableway station within 5 minutes.

Take bus No. 4 from the airport, the fare is 1 yuan, and it takes 8 minutes to reach the Tianmen Mountain Cableway station.

Take buses 4, 5 or 10 from the bus station to reach the Tianmen Mountain Cableway station. The fare is 1 yuan and the time is within 10 minutes.

Tianmen Mountain Ticket Price:

Tickets: 258 yuan + 3 yuan (insurance), including the two-way escalator fee from Tianmen Cave to the top of the mountain.

Sightseeing cable: The mountaintop forest sightseeing cable is 25 yuan per person one way.

Preferential policies:

1. Infants: Children under 1.3 meters are free;

2. Discounted price for active soldiers, disabled people, and seniors over 70 years old: 110 yuan / person;

3. Preferential price for students and senior citizens over 60 years old: 155 yuan / person;

4. Preferential price for citizens of Zhangjiajie City: 100 yuan / person;

5. Journalists: With a press card issued by the publishing department at or above the provincial level and verified by the administrative department of the Tianmen Mountain Scenic Area, you can enjoy free admission;

6. Overseas tourists need to go through relevant travel agency procedures (list and passport Number).
