Changchun Cultural Square, formerly known as the Geological Palace Square, is the largest city square in the city. Historically, the Geological Palace Square was planned as the capital square of the puppet Manchukuo Kingdom. The lawn square in front of the palace can accommodate a gathering of more than 500,000 people. The cultural square was originally planned for Puyi to build a new "imperial palace". The puppet emperor did not live here. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Changchun Institute of Geology settled here. A new building with a large roof was built on the old foundation. It was designed by Liang Sicheng and named "Geological Palace" by Guo Moruo. The large square in front of it (called "Shuntian Square" during the Puppet Manchukuo planning) was also named Geological Palace Square.Attractions distribution:
