The Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai is one of the most dazzling skyscrapers in the center of Shanghai and one of the landmark buildings in Shanghai. The Oriental Pearl Tower is located on the bank of the Huangpu River in Lujiazui, Pudong New Area, and was designed by Shanghai Modern Architectural Design Co., Ltd. The TV tower was laid on July 30, 1991 and completed in 1994. It is 467.9 meters high and consists of 11 spheres of different sizes connected in series. Its design is based on the beautiful artistic conception of "big and small pearls falling on a jade plate".
